Avani Melbourne Central Residences

Great location, its apartment with mix of local residents and travellers. My room is on the high floor and has a good view, room is much smaller than I wanted I guess because staff put me to a 2bedroom instead of one and most things cramp up in a small space which i still fine with that, washing machine & dryer works well with laundry powder provided, fridge is huge and kitchen is fully equipped. Shower also small but it has hand held shower head which i Iike. Overall beautiful new apartment! I will come back again!

Small apartment. It's 2 bedroom apartment but one bedroom didn't have aircon, it's very hot in that room, lucky I'm just by myself and i used the main bedroom instead

After our first night we changed rooms (requested on arrival as we were looking at a wall). The room we ended up with was quite good with a view.

When we arrived (2am) we were given a room looking at a wall so I went to reception and was told that it would be sorted in the morning which it was, very pleasantly too I might add. That was great but then the TV didn't work and being Sunday no maintenance people to fix it but the admin came up and managed to get the one station we were wanting going. Apart from losing our hire car booking on the Sunday Morning because they closed at 11am and we were changing rooms so were too late when we realized the room and especially the service ended up very pleasant.

The hotel location is convenient, easy access to the Victorian market, a woolworths around the corner and access to the tram stop is just a few minutes away. The 2 bedroom apartment was good and spacious, the kitchenette was the best feature to cook and prepare your own meals. The Hotel staff Shah was very helpful and provided a lot of advices on what to expect and answer many questions about my needs.

Maintenance for the appliances such as the dishwasher and dryer. I found the dryer to be clogged with lint. Unfortunately during my stay, there was a lot of construction being done on the roads, so be wary as traffic can get congested in the evening.

Great space, great location. Love the air conditioner that you can actually control yourself and isn’t centrally controlled like a lot of hotels. Handy facilities and lovely staff.

There was a bit of a smell in our room. When we first checked in the windows were wide open. We closed them, then when we came back from dinner we noticed why they may have been open to start with. Strong dirty nappy smell. The track along the bottom of the shower door was very mouldy and there was makeup smears on all of the light switches. Also blinds in the bedroom are not blockout.

Location is perfect, very convenient. Supermarket and Melbourne Central is just a few minutes away on foot. Staff are friendly and responsive (especially Ms Reet). We would like to thank all the staff in Avani Melbourne Central for their assistance in finding my daughter's Apple watch. My daughter had misplaced her watch and we only realized it a few days after we returned to Singapore. We emailed Avani and they managed to find it! I will recommend Avani Melbourne Central to anyone who is visiting Melbourne!

None. Everything is perfect!

The first impression is awesome. Kath assisted us with our check-in process. It was smooth and not stressful at all. We felt so welcome. The parking location and accessibility were fantastic. Kath explained everything that we needed to know and even gave us some restaurant recommendations and places to visit. The room is clean and very well lit with natural light. The pool is so nice and warm to perfection. The location of the place is so close to everything, walking distance to Melbourne Central, state library and museums. Nice restaurants around and Cafe. Bed and Pillows comfortable and love that there's mini kitchen, fridge, coffee machine and microwave.

Location is great for city exploring. Apartment was very comfortable & felt like home. Washing machine/dryer, dishwasher & full sized fridge was great & well used - added to the feeling of being home away from home. View wasn’t brilliant from our room (1810) but didn’t bother us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Only 1 key given between 4 of us required organisation before leaving (as to who will return first & let the rest in). Also a physical key was unusual. The rooms are very tight with the bed taking up 90% of the room. Not much space for storing luggage & no shelving at all, only hanging space. None of this were deal breakers & we enjoyed our holiday

Would be awesome if a tram stop was closer . But it was a good location . Close to many ammenities. Very happy. I liked the pool sauna and steam room.

Had to walk a block for a tram. Abit too expensive for 4 nights sleep . The bathroom could have been cleaner ( the walls ) Because we chose no room service we had to ask for extra towels . Also asking for $50 extra for early check in is expensive I was upset the spa didn’t work and hasn’t worked for a while the receptionist said .

- Good views of the city from our floor (honestly unreal) - Location is very central, 2 minute walk to Melb Central and tram line which can take you up and down Swanston St - Very spacious living space, had all the amenities we needed - Good food places just downstairs. Would recommend Loch and Key as a nice bar to visit for drinks!

- Property wasn’t thoroughly cleaned when we had arrived, there was a dead cockroach on the floor + some pillows and blankets had minor stains which we didn’t feel comfortable using - Foxtel was great to have but needed to dismantle the TV cabinet so that the Foxtel remote could change channels properly (The Foxtel box was hidden behind the cabinet). otherwise it wouldn’t work. drove me nuts
