Arrow on Swanston

The room (1 bedroom) was very reasonably priced. Location was excellent. The serviced apartment was clean on arrival and the sheets and towels changed regularly during our 10 day stay. A selection of toiletries were left for us to use. We had a problem with our room on arrival but we were offered an alternative room and the problem was fixed very quickly. We would definitely look to stay there again if in Melbourne.

The single person on reception when we arrived was not able to cope with the influx of guests. - but every day following there did seem to be more, very helpful staff. This is not a high end luxury hotel but for the excellent price I don't think that you could ask for more.

Due to reviews from other travelers, I arrived at this hotel a little suspicious. But despite the long queue for check-in, caused by technical problems on the day of my arrival, I loved staying at this hotel. It started with the great location, with a tram stop at the door. And in Swanston Street there are trams frequently and it's easy to get to many directions.

Apart from the delay in checking in, I had no problems. Large room, comfortable bed, great shower, good internet signal... If I return to Melbourne I will try to stay at the Arrow of Swanston, again.

Arrow on Swanston provided an exceptional stay during my visit to Melbourne. The hotel's central location was ideal for exploring the city, with many attractions within walking distance. The room was spacious, clean, and elegantly furnished, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Additionally, the hotel's rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the city skyline, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Arrow on Swanston and would gladly return for another visit.

We have stayed at this property before and had an awful room, holes in walls, couch to broken to sit on, terrible access with dangerous stairs and balcony door that didn’t lock. I booked it again because was the only option available when I booked Taylor Swift tickets. There was also previous reviews they had canceled someone’s booking prior to a large event and resold the room at a higher rate so I wasn’t convinced. Happy I took the chance because they didn’t cancel and we had a different room that was fantastic, much better lay out than the previous room and no death stairs. We were very happy and would stay again requesting the new room type.

The receptionist seemed very new and slow. We both with with people of many backgrounds but her English was particularly hard to understand with a quiet voice and a glass wall she sat behind. It was also darker in ther and the light reflecting from the foyer meant lip reading wasn’t possible. It was a very busy day with a long line out the door and a great atmosphere but it was getting hectic with cars lined up because of nowhere to park until you can access the carpark after you pay. The other negative isn’t the hotel’s fault but the only access is to walk as at the time they were doing line works for the trams so had to walk to Melbourne central to get a tram.

My stay at Arrow on Swanston was absolutely delightful. The hotel's location was perfect for both business and leisure travelers, with easy access to public transportation and major attractions. The room was stylishly decorated and equipped with modern amenities, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The staff were attentive and courteous, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. I also appreciated the delicious breakfast options served at the hotel's restaurant. Overall, Arrow on Swanston exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it

Perfect inner city location with a tram stop in the doorway. It is only 2 stops outside the free inner-city tram area. It was a short walk to Queen Victoria Markets, the Universities and the inner city shopping precinct. The Deluxe King Apartment had ample space for 3 adults and the kitchen had bathroom were also adequate. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful.

Unfortunately the cafe in the lobby is no longer operating. Our room overlooked Swanston streets so when the balcony door was open, it was a little noisy (a small price to pay for the great location).

I would like to say thank you to the reception staff. There had been a problem with my room (It happens. Plumbing breaks, electricity supply fails, etc, wherever you are.) and the reception staff were courteous and professional and went above and beyond normal service to make sure I had somewhere to stay. I was upgraded and had a wonderful time. Again, thank you, Reception. You were brilliant.

Nothing, really. There was a problem. It was dealt with very efficiently. And who can complain about a suite rather than a single room?!

The location was great, easy walk to the centre of Melbourne. The room was clean and comfortable, definitely value for money. Beds were comfortable. Towels were changed daily, a pleasant surprise

Would have liked to have had a chopping board and wine glasses. A hand towel would have been a nice addition. Having to access a second building to get to the pool and gym was a bit inconvenient, but manageable. There was little room to open a suitcase in the bedroom, however, you could manage it

Clean,convenient budget accommodation- extremely good value for money in an excellent location. No frills but clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly from housekeeping to reception.

The reception staff are friendly, helpful and do a great job but I think they are understaffed as every time we have checked in ( we have stayed here numerous times) and even when checking out it has always taken over 1/2 an hour checking in especially which is frustrating and the first time made us late for a function we were attending as we hadn’t factored in an extra 45 minutes to check in at the hotel only 20 minutes which we had thought was heaps of time.
