Highlander Hotel Bar Kitchen Rooftop

Location was central...not too far from the beaches, from the CBD or the Adelaide Hills district. Bistro right next doors for lunch and dinner. Staff very friendly and polite

Room overall was clean and fresh, but the carpets looked like they were not vacuumed very well, no toaster, breakfast was a couple bags of cereal. I thought we would get at least some toast and jam when it was advertised as breakfast included. The bistro didn't do breakfast either.

The rooms are modern, with spacious beds. The spa bath was relaxing and spacious, easily fitting a couple with a small kid too.

While the room had a shower/bath combo, our shower did not function properly due to a broken shower hose. The lamps on the side of the bed were faulty, with one not turning on at all and the other cutting in and out.

We have a spa bath bedroom, the sofa bed is extremely comfy and out of expectations, the room is huge. We love it so much. Only comment is the sofa bed didn't prepared with extra pillow and blanket, we have to call and order, it took more than 45 mins for them to send the pillow and blanket across, and we are extremely tired but have to wait. One of the light in our room is not working, we are too lazy to complain as scare to wait for long to get it fix even though we stayed for 3 nights.

Customer services are friendly but most of the time they don't have any one in the front counter, have to wait for awhile to caught attention.

Good rooms

The $200 deposit you have to pay on the room they hold it for 5 days after you leave before your account is refunded this is nonsense as someone who might stay in a different motel every night for me travel and work would not be viable if everyone did this! I even offered to pay a cash deposit which they refused. For this reason I probably won't stay or recommend staying at the highlander but saying that everything else was great.

I liked that the room was spacious, and kept clean, neat and tidy. It is close to shops and multiple food places. Was good with the car park in front of the door to help get things inside. Would definitely recommend if you want a nice place to stay.

The spa bath

The first room we were given had a broken tap in the spa bath and the aircon didn’t work. They gave us a new room so we could have a spa which was fantastic but in that room the shower didn’t work so we had to wash our hair very awkwardly under the bath tap

Good sized room, good size shower and ba4hroom. Loved the space.. appreciated the continental breakfast.

Only standard TV channels. Bed wasn't really comfortable. Advertised as the roof top hotel, weren't allowed to have dinner in the roof top dinning area. The roof top dinning was what we actually wanted to do. Only used for quiz nights and functions. ??? That was disappointing.

Everything Spa bath lovely clean presentation lovely beds with crisp linen breakfast always topped up. We had lunch in the Bistro & it was very generous size as well as enjoyable 24 hour convenience store across the road for the little things you sometimes forget - like toothpaste

I had to leave

Always very comfortable and clean, nice large rooms. Bit of a tip for first timers, keep the bathroom door shut unless you want to be waken early, sun streams in through he glass bricks.

Have to question the gaffer tape over the down lights in the bathroom, made it very difficult to put makeup on. Exterior lights remain on until very late in the night, good for security, but not for sleeping (even with blinds pulled all the way down.

Great venue to stay with a reasonable continental breakfast provided. Room size and location was perfect for us. We have stayed in this facility twice and have never been disappointed.
