Mayfair Hotel

The Mayfair is such a beautiful hotel and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I have stayed a number of times and the rooms are always immaculately clean and stylishly decorated. The beds are so incredibly comfortable its like sleeping on a cloud. The rooms are super quiet and the blinds allow a good sleep in until the generous 11am checkout time. Unlike some of the local hotels Mayfair's pictures of the property are exactly what you get. Thank you to the staff for providing such a wonderful stay.

We had dinner. The food was excelent and the vegetables were exceptional. I dislike over cooked vegies. Nothing tasted like it was quickly thrown together. It was like the cheff had done it specially for us in super quick time.

Wilsons Parking. it was so dirty. The smell of urine and vomit. It was a little difficult droping off our cases due to two taxi's taking up the drop off spaces. I do understand that people may have ordered taxi's. One taxi had been in the space frome the time we left to do some shopping and was still there when we came back. No complaint about the Hotel

Excellent location at the end of Rundle Mall. Close to shops and restaurants. Our room - Mayfair King Suite - was spacious and comfortable for our 3 night stay. We love the atmosphere of the hotel where you can be in the city centre and yet feel immediately relaxed and on holiday on arrival.

The mini bar, although free, did not have much variety. The mattress was a bit softer than our old bones are accustomed to. The dessert trolley offered in the Mayfair restaurant is just a selection of the cakes on offer all day in the cafe and the same is on offer at the second restaurant, The Den. We had the Afternoon Tea, which cost the same as the High Tea is certainly not the same as what they show in the marketing pictures and was slightly disappointing especially as 2/3 of the savoury items were seafood and not everyone eats seafood. The rooftop bar is definitely a place for young people and not somewhere you can go for a quiet drink.

A beautiful old building that has transformed into a luxury hotel. It was designed with the decor of the age of the art deco style building, with a modern flare. My room was like walking into a movie set and the bathroom was totally luxurious. It had a room with dual aspects and a view of the city. All was kept sparkling clean and my bed was like a big cloud. The bathroom was well appointed and the lightening was imaginative with the bloom like decor lights. Close to the Rundle Mall for shopping, leisurely 10 minute walk to the Central Market and 5 minutes to the restaurants around the Casino. Staff were always polite and helpful. The housekeepers did an excellent job and also friendly. Lovely boutique hotel. Forget the bigger fancy places as The Mayfair is far superior to any of them. And as I meet people staying in other properties it far exceed many of the surrounding establishments.

No real issues

Fantastic location! Easy for public transport to/from the airport and other main areas. Buses and trams right outside. Opposite Rundle Mall, just walk down the strip to the Adelaide Fringe Festival area and all restaurants/shops. The rooms are quiet. We had a corner room on the 11th floor. I thought with all the windows it would be loud from the street noise (I am a light sleeper) but it was very quiet. Easy to make the room dark with good curtains. Bathroom was nice. Bath was a great size for a tall person and filled up very quickly! At first I thought the bed would be too soft but I slept like a dream (I did have to ask for a low profile pillow because the standard pillows were too high/thick for me and my partner). I genuinely want to buy the mattress for my home. The comfiest bed I have ever experienced in a hotel (including $1000 a night hotels)! Plenty of lifts so you're not waiting long at all. Gym space was ok, as expected for a hotel. Didn't try the restaurant/breakfast so can't comment on that but the bar looked great. Would be a lovely space for a private party.

The Mayfair was excellent, just sensational. Wonderful staff everywhere, on entering the door, the reception, the Den staff and food excellent, and the rooftop bar was awesome with awesome gents serving cocktails. The view was also beaut and The Mayfair is right in the centre of town and shopping precinct which was fab too. Best bedroom and bathroom ever, so big and just stunning and very very comfortable..wish we had more time but will be back definitely and highly recommend The Mayfair. We were a couple from Perth WA.

Location: Excellent. The Mayfair is central, buses and trams are just outside the front door. Rundle Mall is across the road. Building: Charming and boutique. Room: Great. Separate small sitting area. Beautifully outfitted. The bathroom is spacious with a large bathtub and large shower. The robes are actually soft and extremely comfortable (so many 5*+ hotel robes are heavy but not soft). Soap, shampoo, lotion and conditioner are in large, refillable bottles that are so much more environmentally friendly that the usual small, sample size containers. The bed and pillows are very comfortable.

1. The internet connection in our room was spotty and at times very difficult to sustain but the Duty Manager quickly came up with a cable for my husband's laptop. 2. The TV didn't have the ability to mirror our laptop 3. The Den's Christmas Day menu looked great but the food was really mediocre. Our son ordered the lamb ragu that was very chewy without a traditional ragu sauce and my husband's lentil burger did not have much flavour.

Amazing hotel from check in to check out, service was exceptional! During check in Karla (sorry if I got the name wrong) was so friendly and helpful and although much earlier than check in time, she allowed me to check in immediately without me even having to request. She deserves top marks. But rest of the staff were all fantastic as well. I chose the hotel for the location and made a great decision. Everything is near by. The room was spacious clean and everything was taken care of. From a generous included mini bar to an international adaptor everything is take care if.

Location was excellent. Staff were fantastic. Andy the concierge and Yukti at the reception were outstanding.

The mattress was a little too soft for my liking. Also on 1 occasion while we were depositing our golf bags at the concierge, a rather oversized lady staff at the reception sort of ‘helped’ us by guiding us to the storage room with our golf bags. She did not even bother to helped us with our bags but just opened the storage door and asked us to place our bags there. I was kind of taken back with the sort of callous attitude.

The room was so nice, clean, bed was comfortable, two TVs, sofa to sit on, mini bar with snacks all complimentary. Shower was great and we also had a bath, the toiletries all smelt nice, and there was robes and slippers to wear. Location was excellent, right by Rundle mall, 10 mins walk to Adelaide oval. Tram and buses all within walking. Although right on the corner of Hindley street we did not hear any noise outside. The staff were exceptional, we asked for ice at almost midnight and were brought a big bucket without hesitation. The buffet breakfast was delicious, so many options and all very great. The barista coffee was so good. We were able to request a late check out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely be back.
