Quest Rockhampton

the view and balconies were amazing bonus especially with a amazing view. there are few properties in Rockhampton with good size balconies and the ones at Quest are great. The rooms are very spacious and noise cancelling. everything was great. however, the oven was a little squishy to access, being right beside the wall of the living area. A mounted wall oven would have been perfect and possibly the dishwasher placed at the end. or a cupboard. furniture was modern and neutral. maybe a larger outdoor setting as this was a family suite with a small round table and two chairs for balcony.

the entrance door to the room did not stay open and was very heavy. Therefore, it was difficult to get luggage through especially when it was loaded up on a luggage trolley.

The location is great and the two-bed apartment, which we booked, is a great size with an ensuite and a separate detached bathroom with laundry facilities. The kitchen is river-side with a lovely view (note - the Fitzroy River is muddy but still picturesque) and gave us all we needed to be able to self cater when we wanted to, with a full-size fridge. While there is no restaurant or cafe on the premises, you are within easy walking distance of a Coffee Club, tapas bar (Skyrings) and then the Criterion Hotel (if you want pub food).

Nothing much really - we were on the 9th floor and right next to the bridge, but the glazing is so good, with the windows closed you just don’t hear the traffic (except very now and then a large truck, but really only faintly). This means you need to keep the aircon at night to keep the air flowing, but given all the other benefits of this property, would happily stay there again.

Everything was good except for the 2 items in the next box.

It was raining when I arrived. Street parking was awkward, so I did get wet getting into reception. This would be something I would have to consider before booking again. Parking: very hard to find a space, and, to get my car into the spaces. There were a lot of big 4WD, the problem ones for me are the twin cabs especially if they have the long trays. The parking would be another consideration before I book again.

Nice room with clean new furniture to living areas. Good location near river precinct, friendly staff. One of the better quests I've stayed in.

Carpets and shower were a little dirty and the carpark was hit and miss for parking. Our stay was during a yearly event that draws a crowd and a long weekend so the hotel was at high capacity and they do offer a carpark to the rear however with one of the guests being in a wheelchair, the commute from that carpark wasn't ideal.

We were told there was no breakfast available…. We asked if there was breakfast or buffet and told to fkk on to nearby cafe.

Door key tag read (4? Unsure if that was the room no…) ‘A’…. But we could only find a door reading AB. Suggest when you collect key you are told that rooms A and B are behind the one door to find them. It didn’t make sense the tag did that h any visible rooms. Had to open AB to find A or B…. May make sense to those who know the building but baffled us until Went to re rotini to clarify.

Nice sized room with the bonus of a large balcony and outdoor sitting area overlooking the pool. Plenty of room to unpack and good sized bathroom. Coin operated laundry facilities in the basement car park. Car parking was accessible and easy. Check in staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Located on the main street, central to restaurants and shopping. Great location.

We were on the third floor and there is no lift in the building. It was challenging getting our luggage to our room, but otherwise the exercise was mostly appreciated. The room would not be suitable for anyone challenged by stairs.

Two night stay in a top floor 1 BR Apartment with full sized fridge, cooktop, microwave and oven. Good sized TV with a few Foxtel channels available. Beds were large and comfortable. Individual room a/c, wind out windows for fresh air and two balconies with river views. Clean and tidy presentation.

The second bedroom was locked off but the lounge/kitchen/dining area seating remained set up for six people. Thus floorspace was a little cramped even for only a couple (four adults would have been a real squeeze). Road noise from the bridge traffic was intrusive with windows open but all but disappeared when and later after peak hour.

Central location made this great place to stay. Close to the CBD, food outlets and nice parkland across the road along the river. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Bed was super comfortable. Staff were friendly and available when needed. On site parking is a good feature but its a little tight for larger 4x4s etc. Overall a comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay.

Underground carparks were a little tight for larger vehicles.

The tiny extra to upgrade to the one bedroom was well worth the money. Besides having no heads up with regards to the roadworks and access restrictions for the property at this time I did feel the location and quality was like a five star experience. Full oven & stove top etc could have lived there.. felt right at home and walked to get mt morning coffee right along the water 500 meters away so stunning location and exceptional value for money.

Nothing except the one lift only working wait times and road work’s restricting vehicle access… the hotel itself is perfectly located to waterfront, large shopping centres and great coffee shops/ restaurant district.

The one-bedroom suite was a brilliant layout. Aircon was superb and facilities were great.

Room 104A. Well, its like this. I booked the Suite and dragged all our luggage upstairs. As soon as we opened the door we got the pungent odour of cigarette smoke. And i started getting a headache. So we asked to be moved to a Non-Smoking Room. And the new room on another level was fine. Reception didn't hesitate and was fine.
