First Light Mooloolaba, Ascend Hotel Collection

The property was in a great location and it was easy to get to the Beach, Coles and many restaurants! It was on a quiet street with little traffic. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was also comfy. We had a room at the back, which at first I was disappointed as the neighbours view was average. However, being at the back kept us out of the coastal winds and the balcony was huge and warm! You could also see the pool from the room, which was great. The pool was warm and open until 9pm! The kitchen was fully stocked, foxtel on tv and the wifi was fast! A great stay! Would stay again!!

Not a great deal of seating around the pool area and not many places to sit in the sun at the hotel.

We booked a 6 night stay. Shearna at reception has been so wonderfully helpful. We have stayed here previously and upon check in weren’t as impressed with our room. After a short conversation with Shearna she very kindly upgraded our room. I have to say, she saved our holiday after initially being disappointed to then more than happy with our accommodation. How special it is to have such kind and helpful people at reception. Shearna you were wonderful, thank you! We later had interactions with other staff who were also wonderfully pleasant and kind. Will definitely return on our next trip to Mooloolaba!

Great location, right in the middle of the action at Mooloolaba but one street back. Check in was easy. The listing showed exactly what the property was like. Quiet, considering it was right near all the restaurants and shops. Close to the supermarket

The apartment is on the small side. The pool is impressive to look at but again, quite small. Same with the BBQ areaThe gym has only three machines and no free weights so not really a full gym. Great place if you only plan to sleep there.

The location is great and the facilities were wonderful!

Not having a blanket to use when the doona got too hot. At first we were told that blankets weren't provided, but my husband asked and was told that blankets are available. From then on we were very comfortable sleeping at night :) Also instructions on how to use the induction hotplate would be very helpful :) Someone did explain how to use it the day after we wanted to use it the night before, then it was easy :)(

the location of the unit was fantastic. Well designed unit even if a little small. The beds were comfortable. Generally the unit was clean, however the couches do need a deep clean as they were stained

The airconditioners were difficult to use. On both nights of our stay we could not get the aircon to work in the bedrooms. It became a little hot. I even tried looking up the manual for the aircon units at midnight one night to try to get it working.

Washing machine, drier, kitchen facilities, location, pool all good. Enjoyed exploring foxtel. Enjoyed the balcony seats.

There was a bit of grime in the bathroom that needed some love. A few thoughtful inclusions could be...a tray for under the dish drainer, some clothes pegs, smaller pillows( they were all enormously bulgy) and there were no coat-hangers !!!@@? .... on the whole though, we had a great stay

Loved the location, could walk everywhere and a good coffee was only am stones throw away. I would have loved it to be ocean front but you cannot pick it up to move it unfortunately. Parking facilities were great and loved the room with floor to ceiling windows. Caitlin needs a special mention (I hope I got that spelling right) when I couldn't get the stove to work as it's fancier appliance than mine at home and also was so generous to help us with any questions and issues we had along the way. This young lady is worth gold and as a business owner I know the value of a fabulous employee when I come across them. Hang on to this one, she's irreplaceable!

Bed was a little harder than I like (by no means was it like sleeping on a door though), but I sleep on a thick pillow top at home just like the princess and the pea (hip and shoulder problems here). My family members loved their beds and said they were the perfect combo of firmness and softness!

Location excellent for our needs central to everything we needed. Layout of the apartment was really nice, with everything we needed was supplied. The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble

The only thing was that the ensuite toilet in the main bedroom was awkward to use.

It was a good location as you could take a shortcut to the esplanade via most of the buildings infront The balcony was spacious and the pool was fun and shady in the afternoon so it was a nice respite from the sun

It was very noisy on weekends, even with the windows closed They only provide two bin bags and two sachets of dishwashing detergent which were insufficient for a weeks stay and same with the toiletries

The apartment was stunning, clean, modern and functional plus it came with gorgeous duel aspect views of the sea and we could even enjoy the sunset from the balcony and 2nd bedroom. Also staff were really helpful, friendly and they made checking in and out a breeze thank you!

The bed was only a double and noisy when rolling over in the night plus no hooks for towels in the bathrooms. If the bed had been minimum king size and we had somewhere to hang towels then I would've given 5/5 all around.
