Mantra Coolangatta Beach

Stayed in room 304 this time, overlooking the beach. Fabulous location, walk to lots of restaurants,pubs, heaps of places to eat n shop. Once you’ve parked the car in the underground parking you really don’t need to use it anymore as everything is right there, even Woolies supermarket.

Reported to reception that the tv in the bedroom would just randomly come on, it didn’t bother us, just turned it off at the power point. The main tv did have a fuzzy picture but mostly on the Foxtel channels n the room did have a smell when you first entered which turned out to be the new carpet. It was fine after you’d opened the room up though.

Fabulous view and fabulous location. Had a balcony view from Surfers Paradise to Snapper Rocks. Could be on balcony even in rain as partly covered. Enjoyed watching beach activity and surfing while we ate. Used the outdoor table and chairs a lot, plus the two sun loungers and coffee table. Drying rack outdoors very handy. Good to have washing machine and clothes dryer in apartment. Kitchen great with decent size fridge and freezer. Comfy bed, big lounge suite. Good shower.

Bedroom small, no usable floor space for suitcases. Had a wardrobe the width of the room and our two suitcases just fit in but then we had trouble opening/closing sliding wardrobe doors. Awesome though to have sliding doors out onto balcony from bedroom.

the location was perfect. The staff were very obliging and friendly. Loved that my appartment was right next door to my daughters as she was looking after me after my treatments. Pool area and spa were good too for the kids

the fridge kept leaking water - i put a towel on the floor so it stopped going on the floor so i didn’t slip. Also the washing machine dial was broken and i could not set the level of water. i found it odd that there was no doonas on the beds The room was lovely but could also see the bathroom needed a better clean

Excellent location, expansive ocean views which enabled us to watch the many passing whales and hundreds of surfers enjoying the amazing swell. Very close to many restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Our unit provided most of the items we required but is a liitle tired and with some upgrading in decor would be beneficial. Top marks to the receptionist on duty at the time of departure. She ordered our taxi to the airport and later came out to the taxi pickup spot to advise us to keep making contact as the taxi service was not always reliable. Extremely helpful.

Our stay was 7 nights and on reading the literature on arrival discovered the linen would not be changed or our room serviced unless you stayed 8 nights.! The original bathroom towels were not good quality and was pleased when I asked for replacement towels on day 4 they were a nice white and fluffy. There was a dustpan brush but no dustpan to clean up. This was rectified after our request. The kitchen "basic cleaning kit" provided 1/2 a chux wipe only with a small quantity of detergent.

We had a ground floor suite that looked out to the beach. We initially booked a single room. We were upgraded to the suite, which was a nice surprise. The room was large and catered for what we needed.

We had issues with the Shower. The bottom of the shower door seal would let water run out all over the floor and so we had to mop the floor after every shower. We reported this to reception.

Everything was spot on, and yes i would stay again for sure, the only negative to securing $200.00 as a damage waiver. Holding that money for 14 days i find unacceptable. If on inspection once we had vacated the property everything was in order, i would expect that money to go straight back into my bank account the following day. Location view, access to facilities, supermarkets, restaurants etc, spot on, room great, overall very happy.

Perfect location, room had a great view of Greenmount beach to Snapper rocks. Close to the cafes and shops but also fairly quiet as we were high up. Perfect beach is just across the road and the lifesavers are set up a very short walk across the beach. Pool is very nice, water is very refreshingly cool which keeps the little kids out haha! They have a hot tub paddling pool to splash around in.

Not really a criticism but would have loved to have been able to use stairs to get up to the room. Even level 13 some of us would enjoy that workout. The wait times for the two lifts can get quite long too.

The location was perfect. What we particularly appreciated was the courtesy call we received from your hotel, as our arrival was delayed by transport difficulties. Mary, your receptionist, assisted us on our arrival, and went over and above in every aspect. She was kind and extremely helpful. Mantra personnel, we hope you pass on that we have appreciated Mary - we plan to return, and hope that her people-skills are noted by you, her employer.

10/10 Location perfect with an ocean view. The rooms were perfect and had been refurbished in recent times. So wonderful to view water 24 hours. Dawn & dusk a highlight! A special treat enjoyed by our Norwegian visitors. Whales and dolphins were on display. Perfect weather as well! Coolangatta is such a wonderful place to show off a relaxed Gold Coast. Mantra is central for lovely walks around the headland, to an array of fine dining at your fingertips.

Pool and spa was excellent. Very clean apartments. Beds were comfortable. Location was absolutely amazing. We saw Whales every day.

Only issue we found was the hot water was far too hot. Scalding. Also the en suite shower you couldn't use the handheld shower as the water would only go burning hot no matter which way you turned the tap.
