Mantra at Sharks

Lovely bright king room. Well appointed Helpful check in staff Great proximity to the Sharks Club.

The rooftop “cocktail” bar is more a nightclub than cocktail bar. It was loud, staff standing around chatting when we arrived at 9.30pm and we were ignored. When we were finally acknowledged we were advised that the cocktails we chose off the menu were “not available” so can’t describe this place as a cocktail bar. We promptly left and went to our room. Unfortunately we cannot recommend, which is a shame as the room itself was great.

The room was super clean, bathroom quite immaculate and the staff were wonderful. My best mate and I stayed four nights and had some of the best sleep we’ve had so far on our travels. We used some of the facilities such as the laundry and the gym and they were great. Clean and fairly easy access. I’d say our stay was a brilliant value for the money despite the location. Would definitely like to stay here again.

One thing I’d note is that it is a bit of a distance from a lot of things. My mate and I were without a car and needed to rely on public transport to do stuff. However there was a lovely shopping centre within a relatively short walking distance (about 15 minutes). Besides that my mate and I absolutely loved staying at the Mantra at Sharks.

I loved that it was super clean and easy to get to. There was 24 hr staffing at the entrance, which was superb. The room was also gorgeous - super comfortable, very aesthetically pleasing. My favourite thing was that you were able to share your programs etc from your phone to the TV, which made watching movies very easy. Convenient location for me.

I don't think I have any complaints. I was only there for 2-3 days, and in that time I had a wonderful experience. For those who are looking to stay near Surfer's paradise this may not be quite the place as it's not on the beachfront, although there is a direct tramline not far from the hotel.

Comfortable - extra pillow as requested by email. Soaps/hand creams/ shampoos in convenient wall stand "press down" bottles - in shower and on basin. Box Coffee stall in car park for early morning coffee! It was convenient geographically as we had an event to attend next morning 10 mins away.

The Conpendium was from scan on TV screen - but TV was not on when we arrived late arvo. Did not know all that was available - until later after turning TV on . We were advised next morning that TV was supposed to be on at arrival. However, a laminated sheet on the wall near the TV with scan available titled "Compendium" would prove very convenient.

All good. Location excellent. Efficient, friendly staff. Parking free. Room not spacious, but big enough for a few nights - suited to the business traveller (this is not a resort hotel). Didn't have a swimming pool but there are excellent public pools nearby and lots of things to do - it's the Gold Coast! Worth checking out the rooftop bar - with discount prices on Wed and Thu evenings.

A coffee plunger would have been nice. Otherwise can't think of much.

The smell on entry was so welcoming and fresh. The room and whole building was so clean and had such beautiful decor.. our room was great and had everything we needed. The bed was comfythe linen towels and room spotless and cleaning was a very high standard. We ate and had drinks at the avairy upstairs which made our stay even better. The pizza was amazing and my cocktails classy and well priced. The staff in the whole establishment were friendly looked great and will use the place to stay again to visit our son at uni. Free underground parking was also a great free extra Thanks for a lovely getaway.

everything was super clean, the room had everything we needed and more. Staff was really nice and we’re available 24/7. we checked in at around 10pm and the woman at the reception was incredibly nice and sweet and answered all of our questions.

the breakfast wasn’t that good in my opinion but it could be that I would’ve liked something else instead of what I got, coffee was great tho. also, we wanted to extend our stay for one more night but for some reason the price jumped to almost a 100 dollars more, which was disappointing as we wanted to stay.

The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Was very happy with the room and the bed was super comfy. There is plenty of parking and it is only a short walk to the Gold Coast University Hospital where I was visiting. It is also close to Surfers.

There was no info in the room about dining options so I went downstairs and the staff gave me the info I needed. The hotel is located next to the Sharks Club and guests use their cafe, buffet and a la carte for dining options. There is a rooftop bar at the hotel but I did not have time to see what it was like. Would recommend having info in room re where to go for meals.

Overall experience was really great. Room was lovely, club, restaurants, cafe etc close at hand. Room service prompt, meals good value. Staff were pleasant to deal with.

The guest laundry wasn't great. Followed the machine instructions to the letter and found my clothing came out caked in clumps of washing powder, so wasn't really any cleaner than when it went in really.
