The effort to provide gated security was effective and probably necessary. The rooms received minimal service and that was reflected in the price, so no problem there. The reception was open for limited hours (7am - 7pm and also closed between 12 noon and 2pm.) but being aware of this and working around it probably also assisted in keeping the room rate down. Once again, no issue with that.

There were no wine glasses in the room. We borrowed from the adjacent restaurant, which was not connected to the motel although there was a direct internal door access to the restaurant. Each evening the glasses were required to be returned by 9pm. First world problem, of course. I would still choose to stay at Aspect again. There is limited space for parking inside the motel so street parking is the only other option.

As always, our family turns to Aspect Central for comfortable, practical, and affordable accommodation whenever we need to be in the Cairns area. The location is unbeatable for its convenience and parking is usually available either within the property or on the very accessible side street. The rooms have everything one needs, and we especially appreciate the self-catering ability. Thank you again for providing another fantastic stay. We'll definitely see you again!

Nothing to speak of, we know the property so well and what to expect so there are no surprises and every time we are extremely satisfied with the room and service. Even the occasional sound of planes taking off or landing serve as a good reminder of how convenient your location is to the airport!

It's budget accommodation and good value for money. We were going out each day so just needed a clean safe room at night. Parking at our door was really convenient. It was good to have secure gates locked after hours. Kitchenette for snacks and reheating was good. There was friendly and welcoming staff.

Ceiling light flickering so couldn't be used. Had to request clean towels on arrival as the ones provided were stained. Walking distance to Esplanade and restaurants - but this isn't the hotel's fault!

The price. The room was a little dated but it was quiet and very clean...room attendants did an excellent job...Everything I needed was present and nothing was broken. The location is fine. The bed was comfortable. The shower cubicle was large and the water pressure was good. I only had contact with the receptionist but she was pleasant and informative. Secure parking.

Nitpicking now. The pillows could have been better and the air conditioning a bit quieter

Love it , clean , and tidy beautiful service from staff with a smile , location is convenient, close to shops , hospital and bus stops . Room had a small kitchenette with t.v ,microwave ,bar fridge , tea/coffee facilities 🙂 The price is very reasonable, LOVE IT 🙂

Only the pillows ...super hard and uncomfortable, iron board is hard to set up (old and height settings difficult to adjust) but I improvised so not really a big deal 🙂

- It’s fairly easy to hear what’s going on outside but it wasn’t that big of a deal. - They were shooting an amateur movie at the motel & they started filming early (around 8am) each morning I was there (5 nights). I’d assume this isn’t a regular occurrence though. There’s more words regarding the negatives of this accommodation, but this is a good stay. Good value for money with what you’re getting & it was a comfortable stay.

The price was excellent, fit a lot into a small room - new tv, bar fridge, kettle and seat. Bathroom was almost as big as rest of room. Lots of take away eating spots nearby

Was a bit noisy between laundry, bar fridge and right next to Indian restaurant, in the evening. Really small, nowhere to put suitcase, or even get it into the room between bed and chair

Very cheap for what you get-well equipped comfy and clean.Close enough to walk to the esplanade &most places. The very lovely&friendly lady manager,Sam-she let us leave our suitcases after we checked out and even called us a cab to our next destination.

On our second night we were kept awake until 3am by a group of drunks downstairs..when i finally called the night manager he was great,very helpful-but i saw them being escorted-they werent even staying at the hotel&had simply walked in through the open gate-it definitely should be more secure given the area is a bit dodgy&has a pretty high crime rate.
