Pottsville Beach Motel

Great unit for a family of four * The shower was excellent (both spacious & water pressure) * Location - very close to shops - M1 South & North access 10 minutes away - walk to the beach (200 meters) - close to clubs and parks * Parking onsite (right outside door) * Staff were very accommodating & friendly * Close to the road BUT NOT noisy at all!

Nothing major: * Beds could be a little softer (Have had worse) * WIFI was there & free but not really strong and/or consistent * Could do with a few more power points (some were in weird places)

Fantastic spot. Very clean and well run.

Both Telstra & Optus internet were 2 bars or less. Motel WiFi is provided but many of us are not trusting of free WiFi any longer. Maybe add a Google Chromecast to old TV's so visitors can watch their own Netflix, Prime and the like. Plz change password on wifi daily for user security. I wish ALL motels would provide PowerPoints at the bed head so folks can charge phone, or remind customers to bring on extension lead and own power board. Not a dig at this location they were great. My negative comments apply to most motels I've visited in the past 5 years. It is industry norm and so easily rectified.

Small amount of road noise and some noise from room above but it didn’t bother us too much No sink/tap in kitchenette; there was a plastic tub in one of the cupboards, so filled that from the bathroom sink to wash dish etc. but otherwise good facilities

Beautiful setup and everything needed was there, the bed in the middle probably needs replacing as it slopes downwards (left side), wifi sign on wall needed & Foxtel or Netflix recommended especially as 295 for 1 night which I thought was higher end, and no channels working in front lounge, but was easy to book, floor in room also slopes down, nice setting, clean and had rubbish bags, apologies as my kids soiled the beds, but I would definitely book again.

There was no problem when we arrived prior to the expected time. Reception staff was very friendly ad gave us helpful info regarding dinner options etc. It was a satisfactory overnight stay on our way through to Brisbane.

The room was on the first floor. I had not asked for a ground floor room so this is no reflection on the motel. I will mention this in any future bookings as I find it difficult to negotiate stairs now.

Loved the spacious room with screen doors on both sides, giving a nice cross breeze and no need for air con. Lovely, quiet area just north of the main town but only 5 mins walk to great coffee and amenities. Sports Club over the road was convenient for dinners, drinks. Great friendly managers.

It was all wonderful, could have happily stayed longer

The Pottsville Motel exceeded our expectations. The room was very large & all facilities where spotlessly clean. The staff had cooking utensils etc available for use at the poolside BBQ, a laundry onsite and secure parking. The rooms where larger than expected and everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. The motel is only a few minutes walk to the beach, river, shops & playground. Thank you for a great stay.

We were in a quad room and loved the small details… a tea pot, an electric frypan, sharp knives, cutting board! Everything looked very fresh and new which was greatly appreciated! Travelling during covid, we wanted to reduce our footprint to some extend so having the ability to cook in the room was a massive bonus for us. The pool and the BBQ facilities was perfect to have an outdoor dinner whilst the kids burnt off energy in the pool. Laundry on site was also great to have and easy to operate. Staff very welcoming and very accommodating. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Having a vacuum or access to a vacuum would have been great but I’m really nit picking here. It’s mainly because my 2 kids love crackers and the weather wasn’t great during our 5 day stay so crackers inside on carpet not a good combo! Haha!

This motel has recently been refurbished, the rooms were freshly painted, light, bright and very clean. The bedding is new and clean and they have made an old motel look really cute and inviting. The bathroom was an old style but the shower pressure was good and again, everything was spotlessly clean. This motel is walking distance to the Sunday markets, cafes and town centre.

We liked everything. We have not rated it exceptional only because the motel itself was obviously built a long time ago.
