HR Luxor Hotel Buenos Aires

The location was primo although it was not so much so during the World Cup chaos. Subway station below was at the corner. The lounge & breakfast area were convenient & the food & coffee were plentiful & very tasty. The room was good with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom with a great shower & 2 balconies to look up & down the street. Normally this might have been a quiet room with some traffic noise but the World Cup celebration was loud & went on for days. The hotel had no control over that. The staff in the lobby, Rueben, Hugo & Shawnathon were phenomenal! They went above & beyond directing us in the chaos of the area. Shawnathon in particular got us transportation out of the area when it seemed like we would never get out. He instructed our Uber driver that did not speak English where we needed to be & made sure the cost was appropriate. Shawnathon also directed us to nearby bakeries, restaurants , shopping & the police station when getting the normal bus or taxi service was impossible. Because of Luxor's support we made it out of the area when many others were stranded.

The hotel is very well located in central Buenos Aires with excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Hop on bus can be accessed within five minutes walk. There is a good view of surrounding buildings from the roof which has a couple of sun loungers. Good air conditioning and comfortable beds.

The "gym" on the roof looked as if it had not been used for some time and was under repair.

Breakfast choice slightly limited. Room had a balcony with great view, but no furniture to sit outside. Room was next to the lift which was a bit noisy during the night.

There is a smell in the common areas which is unpleasant. Rooms on the side of the main road are noisy but staff changed rooms immediately.

Every thing was correct: the size of the room and the bathroom, it was clean, breackfast was correct

Excellent position for the SubE and busses. Always easy to navigate back to the obelisk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but could use better coffee. Room was clean and A/C although noisy was effective. I would certainly stay here again.

Location was perfect for us. An inexpensive taxi ride from the port and a very short walk from the hop on bus. The staff were exceptionally help.

Rooms are a bit dated.

The staff at reception was still there when we arrived after midnight due to the flight schedule. All the staff are very nice and efficient. Their speaking English is very good.

Staff are very kind for us . He is very helpful and give very good advice. If we go back to Buenos Aires aain we will go here because of the staff.

My air conditioner did not work properly, luckily I didn't need it for most of the time because it was kind of chilly
