Clarion Hotel Rock Springs Wyoming

Clean, comfortable, quiet, well-appointed are words I associate with Clarion and I was not disappointed. While we needed the room only for sleeping during our cross country drive, it was so nice to sleep in comfortable beds with those lovely fluffy pillows. I slept like a rock! A quick shower in the morning and we were back on the road. The price was decent for the services rendered. Breakfast at 6 was part of the package but we needed to be back on the road by 530, so we did not take advantage. The most important things to us was as described above and they delivered.

Not a darned thing!

The only reason I didn't specify 'Property exceeded expectations', but only 'met expectations', is that my past stays here have set my expectations so high. Everything was as great as usual.

When I'm traveling, I usually rise early, and am on the road circa 05:00. In my past stays here, there was a wide variety of 'continental breakfast' available when I left early. Although the great hot foods were not available unless I left later than usual, and I am fine with that. At the end of this stay, even the 'grab and go' items were not available when I departed (the restaurant door was actually locked). However, this insignificant inconvenience did not in any way spoil my experience with you.

Main part of hotel (lobby) was a little dated but was still a nice entry with a sweeping staircase. The room was nicely updated and quite clean, although the main hallway was still dated. Breakfast was quite good, hey had an omelet bar and the hot foods included hash browns and biscuits and gravy.

The only "issue" I encountered was the lady at the front desk. She never smiled, and barely made eye contact. She looked a bit peeved that she had to come out from behind her desk when I came to the counter. She was efficient in checking us in and giving us our info. The next morning, there was no sign of free breakfast in the lobby but when I asked, the same lady who checked us in the day before told us it was in the restaurant. Again, quick and curt, no smile, no eye contact. Couldn't help but feel like she really did not want to be there. However, the breakfast was good - they had an omelet bar and the hot foods included hash browns and biscuits and gravy.

Beautiful facility. Would give it a 10 except for droning noise from adjacent building to the northeast. Ask for a room away from that! Breakfast was superb! Good choice of hot and cold items.. Made-to-order omlets were excellent!!!

Droning noise from adjacent building to NE kept me awake a lot during the night. Sounded like two heavy-duty air conditioners running at slightly different speeds so they would cancel each other for a few seconds and then add to each other to make it twice as loud. Be sure to avoid that side of the hotel if you are a light sleeper.

We have stayed here previously, and the location is quite accessible. In spite of its close proximity to the Interstate and the main drive, it was very quiet. We were able to check in a little early, which was great. The heater and the fan were also quiet. We did eat breakfast the last time we stayed, and it was quite good, but this time met friends for breakfast elsewhere.

The only thing that could have been better would be a couple rooms closer to the elevator.

Always a positive to see a hotel making changes and updates. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Staff was nice. Rooms were updated. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. Hotel is right off the interstate. Mexican restaurant at the hotel, which was convenient and they had descent food. Breakfast was really good. They make very tasty omelettes. The bathroom night light was appreciated. Also appreciated the hotel having tea bags.

There was a spot on one of the pillow cases. It looked like someone may have splattered a blob of makeup (foundation). It smelled clean, so I think it was just a permanent stain. There were plenty of pillows, so I just used another one and it smelled fresh and clean. Elevator definitely has an older smell, but it is an older building. Maybe a good bleach wipe down and leaving the door open for a bit to air out might do it wonders. Neither of these items would deter me from staying again.

It was loud outside the room, multiple staff members talking outside often and loud footsteps overhead most of the night. Parking was a little scary because you had to share the lot with the restaurant patrons, we parked next to someone who looked like they lived in their car and another person was pacing back in forth in the parking lot yelling on the phone.

The rooms are nice. Love that the bathroom is in its own room and sinks and all are not in tho room for light to bother anyone in the bed. Staff very nice. Even got a free bottle of water. It’s right off the freeway, not the nicest location but it’s fine. Room has all the usual amenities. Ate in the Mexican rest attached. Not the best food but it was ok.

I forgot my cooler liner , I called and Rhonda went above and beyond mailing this to me. She even took the time to take it first to ups which was ridiculously expensive and then package it herself and take it to the post office . I could not believe customer care would do this for me. She would not even accept a tip after I insisted . It is a pleasure to see someone like Rhonda doing the extra effort to save me more than half a price! Hotel was clean and great omelletes for breakfast !

Great room! Great breakfast! They make omelets to order and have many other options as well. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Workout room was nice. Hotel is located right off of highway, so location was perfect for a one night quick stop on way to Tetons.

Location is great if you are just stopping to sleep, but not great if you are there to sight-see.
