Hampton Inn Weston, WV

Convenient location to stop on way from Ontario to south Carolina. The front lobby and eating area are nice, and I enjoyed the hot coffee. Front desk staff was wonderful. We arrived after a 13 hr drive,exhausted . We had reservations through booking, but once we got to hotel that booking wasn't in the system. I was annoyed and exhausted. There was one possible room left. She was able to give it to us, thankfully, and As we had our kid with us, very greatful. We didn't get to enjoy the amenities, as we were up and at the drive again by 430am, but really enjoyed the fact they had hot coffee , tea and hot chocolate available that early! We had previously stayed the week before , with no issues, and no issues with the actual hotel this time either. Would stay again!

Breakfast was great

On arrival, we just got to our rooms and the fire alarm went off. This continued for half an hour or more. We all went down to first floor and a water sprinkler had broke and flooded first floor. Many firemen arrived but nobody knew how to shut off water pouring out of sprinkler. My husband had to show and instruct the firemen and hotel staff how to shut it off to stop the water. I was disappointed that the hotel did not say thank you or compensate us for saving them a lot of money and time in cleaning up all the water and mess that followed. He was good enough to help them and received nothing in return.

The breakfast was very good. Liked that it was available until 10am. When we are on vacation we like to sleep in. Like the proximity to the major highway.

We prefer a suite that is separate from the bed. The hotel doesn't have any of these type rooms, nor did any of the nearby hotels. Put larger garbage cans in the rooms. After traveling all day we ordered out. The empty food boxes didn't fit in the small garbage cans. We experience this with most hotels.

The staff at the Hampton was extremely friendly and helpful. A special hats off to the lady who handled breakfast each morning. The food was delicious and the place was kept spotless at all times. Also, the housekeeping staff was responsive and courteous when we needed things taken care of. I would recommend the hotel for any visitors to Weston.

The shower doors ! No matter what you did, they managed to get water on the floor.

The hotel and room was great, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. The staff was very friendly. The room has a microwave and refrigerator which is so convenient!

The vent in the bathroom made a loud noise the entire time, even with the light off. Luckily, closing the door helped. It was quite annoying while in the bathroom. The "hot" food was very average.

My only real critique is that they sold wine, but didn't have a tool for opening the wine. The nice employee behind the counter suggested we go to Walmart and purchase one, and I understand, but since they are the most expensive hotel in the area AND they sell the wine bottles, they should really provide a way of opening the bottles.

Super clean, super friendly staff. We asked for the firepit to be turned on and had no issues. Nice little pool and spa. The hot breakfast was great. There were plenty of towels so we didn't have to ask for more during our stay. The internet worked well.

Check-in was a breeze and many options at the front for snacks and drinks. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The room we stayed in was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning we had breakfast and it was ready right at 6am and was very good. We will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. P.S. I would have definitely took pictures of the room if I would have realized that the app would let us attach photos, noted for next review. 😁

Loved everything about the hotel there was nothing we didn't like.

The cost of the stay was high. I could have stayed down the road for literally less than half the price which offered a Continental breakfast. I will most likely do that with my next stay in the area and go out for breakfast & still be saving money.

Everything was clean and new, the grounds were in great condition and the rooms were new enough that the air conditioner didn't wake me up when it kicked on.

The breakfasts were really just "meh". This Hampton was on the high end of what I've paid to stay at a Hampton Inn nationally, but the food was on the low end of what I've been served.

I enjoy eating a healthy breakfast with less sugar and more fiber. Fresh fruit, plain yogurt, had boiled eggs, low sugar granola but I am aware that is not the norm.

We liked all of it. Very friendly helpful staff on top of a lovely hotel.
