3 min walk from the metro station 3 stops from the downtown area

overnight staff needs to be properly trained to address guest inquiries. Although the hotel does not offer Parking, as a guest you expect to get information from the staff from the local point of view. when I asked about what options would I have to park, since I didn’t know the area or understand the way parking works in the area . the staff Dismissed my question by stating that the hotel does not offer parking and that’s it.

I liked how well designed the room was to enable the guest to have a four-star experience at an affordable price. The use of technology and art was very clever. There's a supermarket nearby with takeaway options for anyone travelling on a budget. The metro access to central Washington and the airport was good.

The rooms are small but the price is adjusted to take that into account and so the room size was acceptable. If you're reading this review, consider that access to one side of the bed is by climbing across your sleeping partner. You have to be agile enough to do that. You also can't store a large suitcase open as there isn't space for it.

I thought the staff was exceptional and quite accommodating. The hotel was very quiet, with a nice atmosphere , and well-maintained.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

The location was good. A little far from downtown DC but I didn't realize there was a close citizenM hotel. Next time I'd try to book the closer one.

Not a lot of privacy due to the way the bathroom is designed. The bathroom door is glass and not soundproof so you can hear everything going on in there. The door to the bathroom doesn't shut tight either. That could be improved. A "general goods" store could be beneficial as well. A little place in the hotel to buy basic drinks and supplies (ie toothpaste, gatorade, etc) like what other hotels offer. The closest place for things like that was a CVS a mile away.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Modern hotel and decorated and furniture in European style.

Breakfast was okay but not great. Only one staff member walking around so buffet was often empty. NoMa is relatively close to touristic spots and easy accessible by metro. The area is in development but we did not always feel safe during the evenings around the hotel. Junks hanging around and people were peppersprayed by the police in the metro station due to misbehavior. Also quite some weird people and families hanging in the hotel, not always sure if they were guests or just random people.

Brand new hotel. Self-serve check-in is a pain. App did not work. Lacks directional signage in common areas. The soundtrack in the lobby is beyond weird. Like the funky avant garde decs. Common areas are nice with lots of intimate spaces. The rooms are well designed, albeit extremely small, think IKEA 100 sq feet small. As large Americans, we spent the week we stayed crawling over and around one another. No frills in rooms, tiny fridge, no microwave, coffee maker, iron/ironing board. Upside, iPad controls lighting, tv, temp, etc. It was very quiet in spite of lots of area construction and a homeless encampment out front. No parking, but there are paid lots close by plus coffee shops, grocery store, and restaurants. Bonus: we ubered everywhere and trips averaged $15 to just about anywhere..

The staff were very attentive, helpful and knowledgable. Check-in was smooth using the self-service, although there was an agent to support. I particularly liked how you could pick which room type you prefer (high floor, garden view etc). Everything is high-tech, and controlled via the iPad - such as climate, mood, lighting and media. The property is a short walk from the metro or you could take a gander down to Union Station and beyond. I felt very safe in the NoMa neighbourhood.

I didn’t try the breakfast but it smelled really good. The location was decent and in walking distance of everything needed. I really loved the modern art vibe both in the lobby and rooms. Staff was super friendly.

There was a man (maybe on drugs) yelling out front of the hotel. We couldn’t sit outside like we originally planned as he was asking everyone for money. There were also a few instances with ppl that weren’t guests trying to get in through the front door, but security blocked every time. The neighborhood can be rough if you’re not used to the inner city.

Decor as I walked in the place. Rooms were very retro but not at the same time they were "ahead"of most hotels time wise.

PARKING was not included with the hotel and if they were not going to have it included, they should have some sort of discount set up with the places nearby when people stay with them, have it explained in DETAIL also a little better. The staff is helpful just the one woman spoke so fast she was hard to catch things, especially for my boyfriend to understand. Lol Maybe have something already wrote down about the parking to hand out would be a good idea AND also the train / directions?

Helpful & friendly staff are the best part of this hotel, nothing is to much trouble. We stayed for leisure the majority of people staying were on business & numerous business meetings took place in & around this modern & comfortable venue, it also has a small interior garden. Beds very comfortable. You can get barista coffee as part of the breakfast.

The breakfast wasn't always hot, but a microwave was available if needed, the rooms are small with an indoor shower/toilet cubicle. A business area during the day at night it could get noisy at night with vehicle traffic.
