Claridge Inn - St. George

Convenient location. Proximity to food (fast food & restaurants), gas convenience stores, interstate, Dixie Center (4 min drive). Clean room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Had a work desk (but no outlets). Free parking (lots). Couch (could probably be a pullout bed) and coffee table. Relatively inexpensive relative to other hotels if you don't need other amenities, e.g. free breakfast. Good free wifi.

Card keys kept failing (5 failed) - apparently a frequent problem. Not enough convenient outlets in room (one lamp had one outlet, no USB chargers, others had no outlets). Only others were on the light switch by door and one in the bathroom. Only one opaque window curtain which when open allows any passerby to see into room (no other windows). Thus room has no natural light. Rooms are only accessible from outside balcony walkway. Was on the second floor and did not see any elevator option. Ice machine and vending machine outdoors near pool. Small lobby for check-in only - mostly had to wait for someone to come (no bell but somehow the clerk was alerted and eventually came out.) No late checkout or bag storage capability. Carpet has some stains.

Access convenient. Requested ground level it was accommodated so pleased with that. I didn’t try the coffe in room cause McDonald’s was 50 feet away. My only complaint was: I informed them of a late check in, rang the doorbell and multiple calls for 20 minutes before anyone came out to greet me, he was very nice but I was just alittle erked that they were expecting me my key and paper were on th e back counter and it took so long to acknowledge. Overall I was pleased with this place

Beds weren’t the best but they were do able

It gave us a place to sleep while we were in St George. The man at the front desk was great!

We were in front so close to the road and it was a weekend and it was noisy outside. We didn’t fall asleep until about 330 am. Not really a property fault, just a location thing. We would have asked to move to a different room, but it was fine-just adjusted knowing what to expect the second night, we slept better. Just an fyi for the property: there’s a big dust “thing” on the top of the right sliding curtain. It might be a spider “cocoon” with dust stuck to it. Also, I thought I dropped something behind the fridge/microwave area (which I guess I didn’t drop anything) but there is a potato chip and a child’s pair of underwear back there. I didn’t really want to pick them up. We didn’t have kids with us or eat chips-not ours. Just thought they would want to know.

The rooms were large, two queen size beds which were comfortable and had comfortable pillows. There was a comfortable overstuffed chair. The pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. Kids would love it. It had outlets by each bed that we could recharge our phones! To me that was a real plus. Adequate supplly of towels, handtowels, & washcloths. Although we didn't use any, McDonalds was right next door, didn't even need to drive there, and Burger King was right behind; again, could just walk there. I would stay here again, the price was very reasonable.

It wasn't the Marriott, but we weren't paying Marriott prices either. Only had shampoo & soap in the shower. Condidtioner would have been nice. For the price I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

check in was straightforward, room had everything I needed. Whirlpool was heated and felt good after a long day.

The room had a unique smell which I think could have been avoided if they would more often air the rooms. I did it for an hour long and the smell was gone. Also the local wannabe boyracers and pimp my ride community was present in the area with loud exhausts and reving the engines. But all that went away after midnight. Also the hotel can’t do nothing against it.

I had to stop in my tracks walking into the room for the first time. It was amazing, bed was impressive, the color scheme of the room and furniture was amazing. The bed was comfortable, the room was large and had refrig and coffee maker. Better than the hotels we stayed at next door or both sides.

There was no instruction for operating the Roku TV. Tried for half hour and it turned out that the previous person disconnected the box to play games. Then TV was great.

The only thing that we didn’t appreciate was we had to ask them to come to our room and dump the trash and to clean the bathroom we stayed one whole week and things got dirty but not cleaned until we asked! It was my opinion that if you didn’t put the do not disturb on the outside of the door they would come in and clean which after we asked they did do that but they didn’t make the bed so if that’s the only complaint I have I guess things were very good!

I liked the friendliness of the staff. They put me near the pool and a quiet corner. I stayed a week. They were happy to accommodate and follow my instructions on house keeping. I dis not require a lot and they respected my privacy.

The noise from the street and the guys power blowing the side walk. I drive a truck and parking was tight.

The room was big and clean and the hotel is located very conveniently close to some gas stations and a couple of restaurants. Jay, who owns this place and his wife were really great people. I forgot my backpack at their place and they tried everything to get the backpack to my next location in LA. Would definitely book again,

Obviously a budget choice, but the staff here are clearly making an effort to keep the place neat and tidy. Shared areas (pool, walkways etc) are cleaned daily and well. Room was very clean. Sure the carpet is old and a bit damaged, and the bathroom fittings aren't new, but it has been cleaned well and that's by far the most important thing in this price bracket. Would stay again no question.

Shower and tap fittings could be better.
