The Grand Hotel

Excellent elegant location. Room was large, beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly. The 5 star restaurant is attached to the hotel. We order room service for breakfast and it was outstanding. Don't tell anyone but there is a little DIV bar in the back which we loved.

Our room didn't have much of a view but we really didn't need one, shopping was just around the corner. You can select a room with a view for a little more money. I got lost once because there are two second floors, but I enjoyed the beautiful art that is everywhere and I found the "secret library".

Fabulous location in the beautiful old town centre of McKinney. Beautiful hotel - rooms and common areas were amazing and had the feel of a unique boutique hotel. Very comfortable bed. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was easy to preorder, arrived on time and was both generous and delicious. Parking was easy in the lot next door to the hotel. A good selection of places to eat and drink a few minutes walk away.

There was someone at the desk when we checked in. She was helpful and friendly. The building is BEAUTIFUL, the rooms spacesous and unique, which is exactly why we close this hotel. Change hotels are boring and are all practically the exact same thing, so a few years ago we started staying at properties that would be a one of a kind experience. It is well worth the few extra dollars! The bathroom could have/should have been cleaner, which is a fault to the cleaning people. There was a sticky round ring in the bathroom counter that I had to use mine if our 3 washclothes to clean. There was also some small, clear plastic tub that was in the drain if the sink. Other then that is was a wonderful experience that you would expect from a charming, older building.

There was NO ONE at the counter later that night when we needed to get a toothbrush.

The room was cozy and we enjoyed the historical look to all the touches in the hotel and the rooms. Bathroom was spacious, all was relatively clean. The location is Amazing! We could easily walk to all the places we wanted to go! We were able to park on the street and there was space to load/unload to make things efficient and easy. Also, we ended up leaving items in the room by accident, and they were so friendly, and the items were easily recovered.

Coffee pod was left in coffee maker, ceiling fan did not operate, and clothing stickers were stuck to the wall in the bathroom.

The location and the facility were excellent. Our check out was a mess. They had transferred to new software the night before our checkout and could not get the process to work. We just now discovered instead of splitting our bill three ways, we each were charged the full bill - triple what the hotel should have been paid. We are trying to get it straightened out. Probably going to be a nightmare to fix!

Location! Location! Location. The secret bar - wonderful atmosphere. Best creamed spinach ever!

No outlets for those who like their electronics. Recommend putting a charging tower in each room. Get rid of the alarm clock and replace it with the charging tower. Robes were pretty ratty - the ones in my room were threadbare and one HAD A STAIN! ick. You should pay ME $100 to take the robe. Recommend no robes if these are the best you can do.

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and clean room. Adjacent steakhouse a nice plus. Free surface parking also adjacent.

Could not connect to WiFi. Not all rooms have desks for working. Shower might be a bit claustrophobic for someone of a higher BMI. Fitness center is microscopic.

This hotel was really nice. Even though it’s a landmark it’s kept very nicely. The beds are very comfortable, and most hotel rooms have a stinch especially if they’re older. This one did not. Very nice central location surrounded by food and shops.

This is a lovely hotel in a superb location. The staff were highly professional and welcoming. There is a great bar attached and all of downtown McKinney is just a few steps away.

Given the price of the room, it seemed rather chintzy to charge an additional $10 for parking, particularly since the parking was several blocks away.

Located on the old historic square, there are lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel room was beautifully furnished and the bed was quite comfortable. We were prepared to go down to the lobby for our morning coffee but we were happily surprised with a Keurig machine in our room.
