SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dallas Richardson/University Area

Everything, roomsize was excellent, the pullout sofabed accommodated our son and the queen beds were comfortable and spacious. Nice contemporary designer rooms too, exceptionally clean and exceptionally friendly check in and bar staff!

One staff lady felt the need to approach our college students and lecture them and us about their age (over 18 and non of them were drinking, even though this would have been at our discretion anyway!). She was just unpleasant and a nuisance but the bar staff and manager made a point to apologize for her behavior and even offered us free drinks.

We had the best time in Dallas, and staying in Springhill Suites/Marriott was great and convenient. The staff were friendly and courteous, Courtney the bartender was awesome, we stayed there a week and had drinks every night and was graced by her pleasant company. The receptionist on duty were accommodating with all our requests. I would recommend staying there if visiting Dallas.

No dislikes

The front desk was very friendly, professional and accommodating by getting us an earlier check in. (We were in town for a wedding which was scheduled the same day as our arrival.) The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The shower water pressure was excellent and the water nice/hot. I recommend this hotel for those looking in the area.

The hotel was very clean and up to date. Your decor was very nice. The front desk receptionist had great customer service. Our rooms were clean, roomy, and comfortable. I like that we had a refrigerator and microwave available. And best of all, a nice location and no more than 15 -20 minutes from our destinations. We will definitely use this hotel again when we are in town.

I would say that breakfast needs more options, like at least 2 or 3 meat selections and fresh fruit.

Great Bartender “Courtney”!

Booking.com made my reservation but hotel staff didn’t pull it from booking.com to marriot system, even when they had it on their wholesalers system screen. Why? I have not idea, maybe to cancel third party commissions and get walk in full fare?, I just don’t understand why.

The only problem I had was who cleaned our room on Saturday was excellent, but who ever cleaned it on Sunday did a half butt job.

Even though the windows faced the freeway, it did not hamper my good sleep. The fan noise was the correct level to keep me sleeping comfortably. TV interaction was a bit strange to me, personalization nice but somewhat "Orwellian" to think of it. The food was accessible and ample, good selection and offering for breakfast and hitting the road quickly.

Clearer instructions to hook up the wifi on my laptop. The room interfaces for personal computing were limiting, and the business section for printing access was weak.

There was a little problem as the room I was checked had some bad smell coming from the carpet. I complained and Andrew Reveles quickly handled it, he offered his apologies and we reached a compromise. Unfortunately Andrew wasn't at work the day I was checking out, a lady named Rachel/Rebecca was so nasty when I brought up the compromise Andrew had promised me. I suggested she at least give Andrew a call to confirm, but she wasn't the least interested in helping me. She brushed me aside, had to call back the hotel after I checked out to speak to Andrew. He sorted it right away.

It was such a great stay we had at SpringHill! My kids loved the room, and so did me and my husband. The location was amazing, with everything you need nearby but with not a lot of chaos going on, so it was perfect! Would stay here again when visiting Dallas!
