Motel 6-Mcalester, OK

Frills are not necessary. I did not miss art on the wall. It was so quiet, I did not hear the heavy rain. Essentials like sprinkler system and bright lights were welcomed. Laminate flooring was so clean, I could walk barefoot without feeling any dust. The rating was an 8.5 which was proudly displayed as I walked in. No papers to sign-just a small I pad. Office was totally uncluttered. There was a nice “7foot” window seat that I would imagine children would want to share as a bed. Our beds were perfect and you could easily get up in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone, but I slept so well, I couldn’t believe I didn’t need to get up even once till 7 am!

Beds & pillows were very comfortable - almost the most important item! Room was tidy. The window seat was an added bonus.

Blanket was scratchy & inadequate. Breakfast only consisted of coffee. Towels smelled like sour milk (sterile, bleach smell preferred).

It was a nice location. It was priced quite well.

The check in process felt really slow. I had to sit in a chair cuz I was so exhausted. One of the reasons I often stay in Airbnbs vs hotels is cuz I hate lengthy check ins. I just want to go to the room to sleep not wait 10 minutes for computer entry.

This is probably our 3rd stay here and something I noticed this time is that there is a window seat that works perfect for luggage I need to have. Also there is ice which we will need some to fill up our large cups and very small ice chest for slim fast & other food good for diabetes.

Nothing big, but two wall switches would be nice since there a two queen size beds.

The mattress was excellent. I stay in Marriott and Hilton properties that cost about $150 a nt This property was $56 w tax and the mattress was better. I was at the mirage in a suite last week and the mattress wasn't as good as this budget hotel. I did not expect that. I pillows were good too. I will stay there again as I travel back and forth from TX to Saint Louis 2x a month.

The hotel grounds were unnecessarily run down and unkempt.

The location was perfect for my needs. It was very clean the beds were very comfortable it was a great night's sleep.

I wish there was some sort of a breakfast but that's all right there is coffee

No complaints like the 2 other big name hotels where it cost double! Who needs breakfast after a wonderful dinner the night before. It’s 6:30 am and I slept like a rock!

They will serve coffee again when COVID is completely gone like the past awful viruses, I can’t wait! We had both moderna shots in April and May.

Everything was excellent and the room location was close to an exit. Plus the hotel location was close to the lake.

Perfect stay. The room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Price was good. We only needed one night. We will stay here again when passing through.

The room was very hot....temp outside was 100⁰ plus and the room didn't get cool until late that evening around 10 pm
