Hampton Inn Charlotte Uptown

Location, breakfast, cleanliness, most staff were very kind.

There was an issue regarding parking. We were not aware that we had to pay $25 per day (we booked through another website). One specific staff was not as kind. She ended up over charging our account for parking (she charged us for four nights per room and we only stayed for two nights). Thankfully we caught it and the staff the next morning are able to correct it and with kindness. I do believe $25 per day is way too much to park at a hotel, after we have already paid to stay at the property. This is the first hotel I have been to that does this.

The breakfast was nice. I wish they had hotcakes, as I'm not a waffle person. The wife wish they had bacon, but, it got the job done on everything else. The location was in a great place: close to a lot of things. Especially right next door to the Nascar museum. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub in the room. I was disappointed that the actual pool was out of service, but, the wife pointed out the whirlpool more than made up for it.

Everything was fine. Although it was cold, especially around the holiday; still had a great time. There were some things being remodeled, such as the pool, and the laundry room. If i had spilled alcohol, or, something on my clothes, I probably would've been upset I couldn't clean them at that time.

Having a frig. Good temperature in the room. Decent breakfast with eggs and meat dish, along with some other stuff. My husband liked the Chaise Longue. Machines in gym were good.

I absolutely didn't like the desk table that I wanted to make my cpu desk to work at... was right next to the air conditioner, so I had to bundle up to work, or turn of the air conditioner. pillows = ok, fluffy but could have been longer. Internet = ok, but for some reason I was able to work on my PC during the work day but my mac was useless at night. The shower was a little bit of a challenge, cold water that became extremely hot over 1-2 minutes of running.

Convenient to downtown services. The room was spacious, with a good mattress and lots of pillows. Ample cable TV offerings.

We stayed four days. The first day the breakfast was tasty and varied. The second day there was no real butter, just margarine. The third day the sausage patties went from large and thin the days before, to small, thick and greasy, but there were biscuits. The fourth morning, there were no biscuits, nor potatoes, and the bacon was as thin as tissue paper. One of the women in attendance at the breakfast was always nice, and the other consistently grumpy. The guys who manned the front desk could have been more knowledgeable about the city and the event that had so many of us staying at the Hampton Inn. Last thing: the hot water in the bathroom sink turns almost scalding hot without warning.

They staff was perfect!! The day we checked in I was told the jucuzzi was temp out of order to be cleaned from the weekend crowd but when I got back the guy asked have I went into my room yet I said no cause I checked in but left to go get something to eat for my wife and I so he said I have another room that has a jucuzzi in the room he will put us in cause I said earlier MY WIFE WILL BE DISAPPOINTED CAUSE OF THE JUCUZZI That's why we booked this hotel NO EXTRA CHARGE!! AWESOME ROOM! AWESOME VIEW 🤩 AWESOME JUCUZZI 🎉🎉🎉🎉

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING 😌

The prices were a bit high, but for New Year's, that is to be expected some what, but you can find good deals/pricing, and so we chose Hampton. Ot had ALL of the amenities that we were looking for. And well ifno balcony being able to get a little bit of fresh air was perfect 🥰! The bed slept amazing 👏🏾 😴 🙌🏾 👌🏽! We had the jacuzzi room, with Excellent views 👍🏾 😀 👏🏾 👌🏽 🙌🏾! The staff was really nice and assisted with the 1 or 2 questions we did have, and we ended up not needing an early check in, but they were going yo oblige had we still neededit!!needed it!!! Just over all the kind of service,cleanliness, Breakfast, store offerings hospitality you would wish for in every botel!!hotel!!! We will definitely return as long as they are keeping up this amd the adjacent Hilton Garden up the way that you are!

There really wasn't anything we didn't like. Just make sure housekeeping is very attentive even during the busy time's (even the more now with Covid) as we want to yrust that we are safe during our stay. In which we did, I am just saying don't lighten up or get complacent for EVERYONE'S sake!

It was easy to get to, and a nice room. Breakfast was mediocre. I should have researched more carefully, as it wasn’t as close to downtown as I thought, although we are perfectly able to walk. It was just unsettling, not knowing the city to be walking after dark and to be the only ones on the street, and not very late. Ofcourse, we learned that there is not much happening downtown on the weekend , so we should have looked for a different area!

Checkin was difficult as you drive into a garage but there isn’t anywhere to park while you check in. It was Not well marked and a car, appeared to be staff as it was there a long time, in the only space out of the way of incoming traffic.

Food was fine and the workers there were excellent. Room size was adequate, however, air conditioner was not working properly for most of our stay, and even after it was fixed by a staff member. Front Desk neglected to tell us at Check-in that the Hotel's new policy was to clean rooms only when requested by 9:00am each day, and unfortunately clerk acted rudely when we enquired about such service around 11:00am the following day.

The clerk's response to our request for Housekeeping services could have been better.

Basic breakfast, bonus that it was free, no meats for people that don’t eat pork or red meat

Some staff members weren’t that friendly, they will only clean your room if you ask. Rooms really need to be renovated, furnishing clippings and the nightstand was about to fall off the wall, screws were visible. No photos you should have sent this review earlier

Everything was excellent. People at front desk were very friendly, courteous and helpful!! Breakfast selection was also excellent. It's perfect for the Atrium Hospital. I've had 2 open hearts!

Definitely nowhere were there enough handicap spots at hotel entrance. Not enough chairs in room to sit down except at the desk in the room.
