Holiday Inn Asheville East-Blue Ridge Pkwy, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast bar was always excellent. We primarily ate the eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage and fruit. everything was top notch. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and accomodating.

We stress that this is more of an observation, and did not detract from our stay whatsoever, nor would it prevent us from returning (we have stayed at this location repeatedly). There was one day ( i think on July 4th or 5th) that the restaurant was closed due to short-staffing. We have dined not only at the breakfast bar but also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The fact the restaurant was closed was a minor inconvenience to us, and we totally understand that staffing shortages can be beyond anyone's control.

I am VERY picky about hotels and this was a good one. The hotel itself was updated in decor and not your cookie cutter intestate hotel. It was decorated well and a very cozy vibe with natural wood and stone. The beds were comfortable. Hallways, elevator and all facilities clean. The rooms were very clean as well. The grounds were pretty as well with a walking trail, landscaping and places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. It felt safe. Honestly, it was a better experience than several 4 and 5 star properties we have stayed lately.

The hotel was in a location that was good for us and the rooms were nice. The shades were very great at blocking out the light and the toiletries were a bit more upscale than a lot of other hotel properties. It was very pleasant and quiet!

Housekeeping didn’t tidy up my room but the front desk was helpful in taking the trash and freshening our towels. The tub drain was also full of hair and didn’t close properly, even after I cleaned it out. The internet was soooo slow.

Friendly staff. Dog-friendly rooms. Very reasonable rates. Excellent pool and view. Complimentary pool toys. Complimentary coffee. Great hiking trail and green space for the dogs. Good restaurant on site.

Dogs couldn't be left in their cages, or in the room, which is fine, but the inside propery isn't dog friendly, so when it was hot or rainy every day, we were stuck in a very small room. Need more dog friendly areas indoors for this to be functional for more than one night. We did send the dogs to Camp Bow Wow for a few hours each day, but the rest of the time, when we were stuck in the room, was tough. Prefer other hotels for that reason.

I don’t know the guys name at time of check in but his customer service was absolutely Amazing u need more men behind that counter like him. We know he served in the 82nd airborne . And his wife works for farm bureau. . The pool area was so beautiful and clean , excellent breakfast and pork chops for supper were sooooo good. Everyone that we encountered there was so friendly when and if we ever come back to Asheville North Carolina I will book at the holiday inn and I won’t think twice about it . We stayed in room 330 all the way at the end it was very quiet and very relaxing I usually don’t sleep good on my first night anywhere I go but i was out like the lights and slept a full 9 hours that night . I recommend anyone searching for a hotel in this area please check inn at the holiday inn on tunnel rd . I promise u you will not regret it 😊❤️😊😊😊

There wasn’t Anything there I disliked everything from the coffee to the food to the 10 star customer service everything was perfect .

The location, service, and breakfast was great! We were able to get to the major highways pretty easily from our location. The service was very friendly and helpful during our 2 night stay. They had extra toothbrushes when my daughter forgot hers. The pool was such a plus because their temperatures were unusually high for the time we were there! Since they had Smart tvs, we were able to cast our Netflix and Amazon Prime movies and shows to watch onto it! We didn't expect that, lol. The breakfast spread was very good with all the hot options for eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and breads. We'd definitely stay here again. Parking was a breeze, and they options for electric charging stations as well. The AC worked really well in our room, and it helped with the rising temperatures. We booked a king room with a mountain view, and it's exactly what we got.

The room service wasn't available, but the desk was very helpful in directing us to the restaurant. The key lime pie was delicious!

I've stayed here a few times in the past. It's always clean, we've tried so many other hotels in the area and they're always so dirty. A good reliable room. Love the trail at the back of the parking lot as well.

It's expensive. On top of that you even have to pay for breakfast ($15/person). It's a regular hotel buffet, minus the waffle iron. When the other places smell like mold, cigars, weed... You make do.

The location is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, a definite plus. The staff very pleasant and amenable, though slow in the restaurant. Hot breakfast buffet nice. Even though the pool is outside (which can be a detriment in some locations), it is tucked behind the hotel and is charmingly set up. The bed was very comfortable. The room had its own microwave, refrigerator, and keurig coffee pot. I would stay here again.

Staffing in the restaurant at dinner time could have been better. The wait staff that was there were very nice, but more employees might have been more efficient.

The location was ideal for everything I wanted to do while I was in town! Easy to get to, ample parking. The hotel room was clean, showers worked, and it was obvious that the facilities were well managed. There was a restaurant on site where I found the meals tasty and I was able to grab a late night drink before heading up to my room. I took advantage of their gym onsite, so happy that they had everything I needed to get a good workout in!

This is more of a personal issue, but with the changes in the weather and higher elevation, if you struggle with trying to figure out an ideal sleeping temperature - I recommend bringing a small humidifier with you.

The location is excellent, and easy to find. The food at breakfast was superb--and there was plenty. Beds were very comfortable and amenities quite nice, including the bar. I have only one small grievance: my brother came and stayed because we had chosen the Holiday Inn East, and he was promised a Mountain View from his room that did not exist. That and I had to call for fresh linens when our room was not touched while we were out all day Saturday.
