Location great with easy access to highway and back way north into and beyond town. Friendly, efficient, professional staff. The manager -- Manny -- has been above and beyond helpful!!! I left my favorite poncho in my room. Juan answered when I called...found it in laundry and Manny is returning it to me. I am VERY GRATEFUL!!!

It is new.

This facility was not ready for business. For breakfast we were given a paper sack with apple juice, an apple and a cookie. We were told that the coffee pot wasn’t working but it was miraculously fixed when we complained!

Clean and comfortable break from the road.

There was a full breakfast, but everything was ill prepared and thus tasted terrible. We usually like those kinds of eggs okay but they tasted like powder when we went.

It was brand new property. All was fresh and clean.

No fault of their own but the TV was not hooked up to cable yet.

Beds are comfortable. The air conditioning works perfectly. The room was very clean.

The place is fairly new and still attempting to set up. The lobby was very open and needs a more practical layout. It is far too small to serve as a dining area and guest checking. Parking is limited and sized for smaller passenger vehicles. About half the traffic in SE New Mexico are large work trucks. More parking is needed. Finishing touches on the rooms are very poor quality work. Things are done half way (e.g. water sealant on shower tiles is partially applied; trim is missing from the edges, outlet covers improperly hung). The overall look is missing ascetic improvements. Coffee maker is worthless. It stops halfway through brewing a cup. The price per night is too high for minimum value returned to the guest. I doubt that I would stay here unless the price drops and the hotel improves.

The rooms were clean since it was just recently built apparently.

We booked this specific hotel for the full breakfast advertised. Paid extra actually for the breakfast option. Upon check in we are told the full breakfast feature is not ready for several weeks and we will be getting a muffin and an apple juice in the morning. The entire purpose of spending the extra money was because we have dietary restrictions that don't allow for muffins. We were expecting the eggs and meat that we paid extra for! The icing on the cake, was as we checked in, on the counter literally has photos of full cooked breakfasts being advertised and when we mentioned it, why would you even have these fliers on your counter, that's false advertising the check in clerk didn't care and had no control over the extra charges for breakfast since we used booking.com For being a brand new room everything was clean, which was nice! However, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain. We had to wash our hands in the shower

The property was well lit and safe.

There was a cash deposit required that is not disclosed anywhere. Made me uncomfortable altho it was returned the next morning upon inspection of the room when we were ready to check out. This behavior is very odd to me.

The staff was really nice.

There was no pool, spa or fitness room. There wasn’t breakfast.

The location was fine…. (But so is every other hotel and motel in Carlsbad). We were visiting the national park and this offered a place to stay for the night. There is someone living in a camper right outside though. Made sure I locked my doors 3-4 times.

I was very disappointed with our stay. For starters, the bed had stains on it as did the carpet. The building was built extremely cheap as the outlets stick out from the walls, and fixtures are crooked across the walls. The shower was a walk in shower for people with disabilities and it was no joke on a slant so all the water goes into the bathroom and has no drain. Hilariously bad. Walls are PAPER thin. Somehow I got so lucky to have a joint room and there was a two way deadbolt so someone could have easily came into our room. Propped up the computer chair in front just as an alarm if someone stumbled in. Unfortunately heard drunk oil/gas workers most of the night. Didn’t sleep as I was on edge about my family feeling unsafe. Nothing like paying $130+ for that experience.

Shower was cold because thermostatic valve was not properly set. Door would latch shut, elevator was broke. Outlet under tv was not wired in. Hotel is supposed to be brand new. Worst hotel we’ve stayed in. Very poor construction
