Bristlecone Motel

The bed was comfortable, parking was very close. There was a mini fridge in the room with a small freezer, perfect for my ice pack. Plenty of outlets so we could charge our phones. It was clean, the shower worked well, and was hot. We had a long drive so we didn't check out the Continental Breakfast except for a quick glass of juice.

We were in a downstairs room and it sounded like a herd of Buffalo over our head. After 10 it was quiet, so that was good. No problem for us because of that, but people who wish to go to sleep before 9pm might wish to request an upper room.

Friendly, helpful person at checkin. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Bed was soft & comfy. Linens were all good. Towels were all good. Room was upstairs and had two entrances...one off of the balcony walkway and the other at the top of separate staircase. Room 229 with beautiful view from balcony.

There were no lower level rooms available so we had to go upstairs to 2nd floor. No elevator. But we were able to make due.

We were very pleased with the location of the Motel and the size and cleanliness of the rooms and the property. Although the impression that staying in a motel is not as nice a hotel, Bristlecone Motel has been one of the nicer places we have stayed. We will definitely be visiting Ely, Nevada again and will be staying at the Bristlecone. Also, we traveled with our small dog and she was welcome on the property. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations.

I can't think of any issues that we had. From making the reservation, to checking in, everything was great. Ely has a wonderful small town feel and the Bristlecone just added a homey feel and experience. Nothing negative as far as our stay was concerned.

The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The room was quiet and the AC worked great! There was plenty of table space and even a small sofa to relax on. The front desk was able to accommodate our late check in and was very efficient and friendly. Great staff makes for a great stay.

My only complaint was that the in-room coffee maker was not cleaned after the last guest. There was a used coffee filter in the receptacle. Normally I wouldn't even use the coffee maker, but as we were intending on leaving before the free breakfast was ready, having a cup of coffee would have been nice. This, however, would not prevent us from staying here again.

Room was spacious and immaculate in very pleasant grounds. One of us is a smoker, and a nice place to sit with ashtrays was provided outside where smokers could enjoy their vice without bothering nonsmokers. When we had trouble with the TV in the room, the desk clerk came to our aid and fiddled with it so we were able to get our TV fix. The location is on US 50 as it goes through town, so we had to trouble getting to and from. A supermarket is a few blocks away, also on US 50.

The room did not have a microwave, but we got take-out from the supermarket deli (a welcome change from microwave meals). As mentioned above, the TV did not work without some fiddling; we understand they are replacing the TV this summer, and one hopes that solves the problem.

The room I had was very spacious, quiet, and equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator. Although not a new building, the room had been modernized and included a table and comfortable chairs. Parking was available right outside the door.

The only item missing in the modernization was an exhaust fan for the bathroom. The vanity was separate from the shower/toilet space, however.

remodeled older hotel. Kept the beautiful knotty pine ceilings in rooms that had them. Did a nice job. spacious room, good lighting for vanity mirrors. Great bed. Excellent internet. Reviews had said "breakfast was just honey buns and coffee. Not true. There was a choice of fruits, juices, breakfast bars, pastries, and really good coffee

Older place with new carpets but floors squeaked as did doors in the middle of the night. It was a nice place at a nice price and the staff was hard working and pleasant, very accommodating

I booked this Motel for stay with family. Nice spacious room. A very nice outdoor sitting place. Staff was good. Location is excellent and nice sunset view.

After I checked in , the electricity went off and there was no way to contact anyone, since the reception was closed. It was resolved in morning. But staff was nice and receptionist promolised to refund the full night.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The manager was very quick to remedy a problem with the room when we checked in; basically, no delay as she switched us to another room. Great ice machine in the office lobby, and laundry self-services available for only $1.50 (wash and dry).

There's breakfast available, but just pastries, two cereals, and a few fruit choices. It would have been nice to also have some yogurt or bread for toast, to avoid just the sweets.

Very personable young man when checking into hotel. Room was very clean and did enjoy that there was a table and two chairs in room. Even had a makeup remover wipe. Best part for me was that I was on the ground floor and was able to park directly in front of room. Great for loading and unloading car.

TV a could have been a little bigger.
