Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Troy

the property was beautiful. the courtyard was well kept and the seating was cute. every area was clean and welcoming from our room to the lobby seating, outdoor seating, fitness center, the cafe. it was wonderful. and the staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I also enjoyed being able to include my breakfast and choose what I wanted

I wish my balcony had seating. I seen several of the lower level patios had chairs. and I really wish my balcony had them and maybe a small table. would have made a nice spot for morning coffee.

The hotel was renovated with new carpeting and furniture. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent in that it offered hot eggs and fruit. Coffee was excellent (YAY!) Location was very close to the major highways, restaurants and shopping areas.

The area is very industrial and a bit deserted on the weekends. It is completely safe but can look a bit deserted. It took a long time for breakfast as each meal had to be specially ordered and prepared. The menu was a bit limiting (but I think that was due to COVID).

Very nice staff, quick and welcoming. Upon arrival we noticed a nice amount of visitors and a very clean parking lot. We were greeted and was offered any floor because of our little ones we asked near the pool and got a room 3 doors away. Nice pool and very warm hot tub. I loved my view. Only con would be our screen door didn’t open fully so we couldn’t quickly run our things to the car because it was storming during check out but I second that due to the amount of safety and accommodations they provide. I was very comfortable and would definitely visit again. Also LaTonya was amazing helping us with a mix up on our breakfast plan and got us taken care of within less than 30 minutes and was very attentive to our family.

It was so clean! All the furniture was in good condition. The cleaning staff was constantly working and very friendly. The pool was amazing, they keep the pool room temperature warm and there’s plenty of seating. It was really great. There were kids running in the halls in the evening but they settled down before it got too late. We didn’t mind since we were traveling with our 8 year old, but be advised if you don’t tolerate children well.

No microwave in the room. There was one in the lobby that we used to make popcorn, but it had a little food splattered inside. It was THE ONLY thing on the property that wasn’t extremely clean so not a big deal.

it says it has free breakfast included and there is NOT breakfast unless you buy it from the Starbucks in the hotel. I had my son with me and I always make sure to choose a hotel with breakfast so we were disappointed I payed for a hotel with no breakfast. we also are not from this area and breakfast closes early at the Starbucks.

very high chlorine content of pool and hot tub burned your eyes The shower was great but water did not drain well, left you standing in water afraid it would over flow

Loved the courtyard, pool and hot tub looked nice just never got the chance to use it.

When we adjusted the temperature in our room it caused a burnt hair smell that went away but it was kinda gross to smell that until it went away. Also the snacks ans water were pretty pricey.

The property was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. And my room was great size, nice and clean, and great value.

My only gripe was the layout of the hotel was a bit wonky, the elevator was far from the lobby, and with heavy bags is annoying. But the staff did have carts out in convenient places.

I liked everything! I forgot to mention the shower door would keep sliding open and wouldn't stay closed. Room 208. I don't have a door like that in my shower, so not sure if there is a trick to keeping it closed. Loved my visit! Thanks !!

Location was close to restaurants and main Hwys. The breakfast was good.

The sign at the entrance was back too far and difficult to see so we passed the entance. The toilet paper roll was hard too reach for most women and kids.
