Hawthorn Suites Bloomington

Location was good, the room was amazing. So clean and comfortable and very modern and spacious. The kids enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the breakfast.

Staff could have been available at the counter during peak check out time. A couple of other guests had to go outside to ask them to come in from their smoke break to check us out. Maybe an automated system for checking out?

Room was good, service was very good.

Shower in bathroom was not tall person friendly. The shower head was right next to the wall and not adjustable. Loose tile on the floor popped when stepped on. We were served a breakfast bag that contained a pastry roll, fruit cup, granola bar and a bottle of water. Listed as a three star hotel, but was closer to a two star.

Very good value for the price. It's a no-frills room - hard floor, no fancy decor, etc, but very clean! Bed was very comfortable. Staff was great. Breakfast - eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles & cereals. Usual yogurt, toast, etc. We would stay there again.

The picture of our room featured a hot tub in the room, but when we got there, there was no hot tub, not even a jet bathtub.à

Everything was great. The location was great staff was great.

The beds. That's the only thing I disliked.

The suite I had was roomy, included a kitchenette that wasn't advertised as part of the amenities, and was wonderfully comfortable all the way around. The staff, what little interaction was necessary, was friendly. There are still plenty of Covid-19 restrictions in place and people seemed to be observing them.

Devil's in the details. The faucet at the kitchen sink is slightly corroded from hard water and as a result, is a little tough to turn on. The brown-bagged breakfast (as opposed to their normal buffet) was full of sugar. A piece of real fruit would have been helpful. The space at the bathroom sink is narrow, so keep your elbows tucked in. Nothing was a deal-breaker for me, just minor inconvenience

This is a great value for the price. Yes it needs an update but the rooms are clean and large and the staff is really friendly and helpful.

The parking leaves a bit to be desired but it was complicated by some travelers who apparently can’t walk any more than absolutely necessary and insisted on parking right across from the entry despite there being lots of parking 30 yards away.

Lovely room and comfy soft bed and plenty of hot water!!

Our room door would slam shut making a extremely loud bang if we weren't diligent in slowing its closing to the last inch also, the screw covers for the toilet were missing and those areas were dirty

We left room at 11am. Didnt see any sign of breakfast at desk or smell anything like food. The tub needs updating. Nice big clean room. Minus the tub. And sometimes the shower handle makes some loud noise randomly. The side door has a door key sensor but the side door doesnt even lock at all. I will come back but with expectations of the same or lower rate. And expecting old tubs.
