Waikiki Resort Hotel

The location!!! Wow! You are a block from Waikiki beach and a walk away from Kalakaua for shopping with great eats nearby!! There are also good DVD rental choices free with the room. Housekeeping is super nice!

We upgraded twice to get a room with a partial ocean view. I don't know why I needed to make the first upgrade upon booking and the second upgrade upon checking in only to get the room we received. I feel like only one upgrade is needed. There are also additional fees upon checking in such as paying for a nightly parking.

Location was excellent, staff were friendly and very accommodating. The wifi in the room was a bit weird - no password required, and was a bit spotty at times. The beach was a 2 minute walk away and close to everything on the main street.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired. On our first morning, there was a buffet style breakfast with lots of options - eggs, pastries, toast, lots of fruit. The rest of our time there, it was a prepared box of one egg, a fruit, yogurt and a muffin or a donut. The breakfast was the only unfortunate thing about our stay.

We had a partial ocean room and the view was great to the ocean. The location of the resort was great as it was central to everything including the beach, public transport, restaurants/shops/cafes and some shopping. Would recommend this place. One night there were fireworks over the beach and we had a perfect view of them from our room.

A couple more gluten free options for breakfast in the morning. The best thing for GF was they had boiled eggs everyday and fresh fruit. Maybe a bit of yogurt or GF bread on request for people with dietary needs. Two in my family are Celiac, so gluten free is not an option it is a necessity.

It was a great location, just a block from Waikiki beach. We walked around and it was very easy to get to the hotel.

Breakfast. The reservation states that includes breakfast, per my previous trips to Hawaii this is a must. It is Hawaii so breakfast can be expensive. Anyways, the breakfast given it wasn't even continental. It was a box with a donut, a banana and either coffee or juice. If you wanted a hot breakfast, then you had to pay extra. So it was a bad way to make you pay more.

Almost all aspects were excellent (while it was not over the top it has no setbacks.)...........even the 1 block walk to the beach is a very short block..... all the hotels walk across the street to Waikiki beach. The deck was incredible for a glass of wine each nite. The continental breakfast was perfect....tiles for the beach as many as needed daily GREAT I could go on and on but we would return here again and again

While I thought it was a bit expensive it was probably a bargain with all the amenities provided. parking was provided for a charge but so convenient it was also probably worth it since we came and went with much ease. Public parking garages were $5/day cheaper BUT why walk 3 blocks each time you use the car. Waikiki has alot of homeless people But they seem harmless and trying to get by....I felt sad for them!!!

The room was comfortable and clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The hotel was only a couple of hundred metres to the beach and right in the centre of Waikiki. Also close enough to walk to diamond head crater and explore.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was the espresso machine in the room that could not make espressos..... But I'm very fussy with coffee. Also not a fan of the shower over the bath tub.

Loved our Penthouse Suite. We had an amazing view of the mountains and ocean (waikiki beach). Our balcony wrapped around the room - it was nice! The rooms were very clean, no complaints at all. The beach was just one block away -- so convenient! Everything (food, beach, store, entertainment) was walking distance - it was a great location. Loved the "grab n go" breakfast (included in room price) - it was the perfect amount of food to get us by until lunch time. I was truly happy with our experience at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. Another cool perk was that we got free DVD rentals during our 6 day stay. The only thing we didn't do is use the pool. They closed at 7pm every day and they don't have a hot tub, just fyi. All in all, Definitely recommend this hotel.

I really liked everything about this resort, except the pool -- it was not too inviting in my opinion. Adding plants and some palm trees in the pool area would really add a nice tropical touch.

After i changed rooms. the view was great. The conceige was so helpful and friendly. The people at the travel desk really extended themselves were great. The laundry room needs an overhaul Only one washer of 2 worked so i had to wait. No option to buy detergent. We ended up going else.

My room was first very small i upgraded at additional expense to feel comfortable. We fought with the TV remote all week. most of the time it didn't work. The included breakfast was substandard. The same a week. Same juice all week... I had to upgrade breakfast after the 2nd day and after i paid a lot of money for my room and shouldn't have had too..

This hotel is a block from Waikiki Beach but at a great price. Check in was easy. We had an early flight and the hotel staff booked a 5am taxi for us. The hotel offered a grab and go breakfast which was handy. There is no bar but the there are loads of bars and restaurants in the vicinity so it didn't matter. You can very easily walk to the beach, shopping and great restaurants. Excellent value for money.

The rooms are old - they have a dvd player in the room which I haven't seen in 10 years. They also allow you to rent DVDs for free in the lobby. The DVD we selected didn't work. Maybe its time to upgrade to smart tvs and allow us to log into our streaming apps.

I loved our ocean view. I loved that we were so close to shops, restaurants and to the beach. I loved that your staff was so kind and always available to assist us, especially when there was no parking available and we were able to park in the employee lot.

I didn't like that an adjoining room wasn't available for us. And we weren't even able to be on the same floor. I especially didn't like that there was quite a few hairs on the bathroom floor when we first arrived AND I was also grossed out that I needed to wipe some dirt off of the toilet when we first arrived.
