Hampton Inn & Suites Clearwater/St. Petersburg-Ulmerton Road

The property was conveniently located in between Tampa and the beaches near St Petersburg. It was well maintained, clean, all the staff were friendly, the breakfasts were great, and a quiet environment internally. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. We would definitely stay here again when back in the Tampa area.

The staff member that checked us in was not very professional to the customer just prior to me. We did receive 2 wake-up calls that we didn’t request and the window shade in the room didn’t work. We didn’t report any of this to the front desk, none of these items were of great consequence to us and our stay.

The staff was nice, check-in and check-out was easy. The hotel was clean, very nice calm and quiet atmosphere. No WiFi issues noted; connection always on point. The hotel was in a great location; a restaurant was next door, Dunkin Donut was a quick walk and Cracker Barrell was just across the street. Plus you can see planes coming and going daily from the hotel parking lot. There were alot of eateries and stores up and down Ulmerton Road. Set your Google Maps and ride and see what's available.

I didn't like that because I booked through a Third party that I had to still provide a credit card to cover any damages to the room. It was an $80.00 charge ($20.00 charge per day) but it was put back on my card. Also, the day of check-out; housekeeping visited my room about 3 times prior to the 11:00am check-out time. I understand they probably was short staff; I tend to check-out prior to my check-out time but it's kind of annoying when you're trying to make sure you aren't leaving anything behind and housekeeping keeps stopping by.

Great location to the St Pete airport!

We had called earlier in the day and was told our room was ready and we could check in early. Upon arrival the man at the desk was very nice but said we’d have to wait that it was not ready. After a conversation with the manager (also very nice) we got our room. Unfortunately our bed was horrible! Every time you moved in the slightest bit it made a noise. As if the frame was broke. Horrible night sleep due to that.

I liked that it was completely modern; either built recently, or remodeled completely. The kids loved the pool, and we loved the layout of the king suite! Never have I seen more done with only 330 sq/ft; absolutely remarkable! This Hampton is the best I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a bunch! I will be back, every time I’m required to stay in Pinellas county. I cannot think of a single thing that I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with! A five star experience, for two star prices. The young man working the desk at 1:05am deserves a special “attaboy” for being so upbeat, pleasant, engaging and friendly, at 1:05am, when I arrived.

Our suite was large and very well appointed. Wet bar area with microwave, coffee maker, sink, mini fridge, and plenty of storage cabinets. Nice sofa for relaxing, large desk with more than enough built in storage drawers on either side. Very large closet and a beautiful shower. Plenty of USB outlets throughout. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent coffee and wonderful breakfast selections. The staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town.

Room is very confortable with a excellent bed and very good bathroom. Staff is very polite and professional. We had a problem with the room regarding the check in but the recepcionist Caroline and manager resolved properly.

Breakfast didn't have many options. Should have a little more to offer in terms of food and bevarage.

The staff was friendly and efficient. And I was able to check in a bit early as they had a room ready. My room was clean and comfortable.

I'm probably going to be the only person to comment about this subject. However as an older person late night bathroom runs go with the territory. The light in the bathroom goes on automatically. And it's very bright. Especially when your eyes aren't used to it. I was probably too tired and too stupid to figure out how to make it stop! There actually was a small nightlight plugged into a socket in the bathroom that would have been bright enough on it's own.

We liked the breakfast. Omelettes, yogurt, muffins. The pool is nice but it was a little chilly so we only used it one time. It has kind of a central location if using Uber. We were 25 mins from st. Pete's beach, 15 minutes from Tampa Airport, and 20 mins from Clearwater Beach. Is on a main highway so is not like is too easy to walk around with little kids. But we did go to Cracker Barrel which is across and the food was good.

The location wasn't the best for what we wanted and when I asked the lady at the Front Desk about transportation she wasn't that helpful. She just said there are taxis and Uber's. But she didn't provide a taxi phone number or any guidance. But the guy was nice and kind.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby, breakfast area, and rooms were clean and nice. Loved that you have flavored creamer, hot tea, and waffle makers. Breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again.

Checking in was a little complicated. She could see our reservation but she had a hard time getting us checked in. Angela was very nice and handled it well, but check in could definitely have been a smoother, faster process. The toaster oven has a faulty dial, needs repairing or replacing.

I stay at Hilton properties 99% of my travels. I shouldn't have to write this, but I will. I expected the standard two bottles of waters as a Hilton Honors member. I was told silver level members were not eligible for bottles of water at this property. It's water. A bottle of water costs Hilton what....5 cents? 10 cents? To differentiate Hilton Honors member levels for bottles of water is simply poor business. For God's sake, this is Hilton, not Motel 6.
