Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Foley, an IHG Hotel

I was greeted upon arrival by the most friendliness and helpful front desk staff. The hotel was in a great location near surrounding shopping, restaurants, and attractions. And it was also a straight shoot to the beach.

No complaints.

I appreciate that the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful! I was not expecting our room to be cleaned since we stayed multiple nights, but they came in, made the beds, and gave us clean towels.

I didn't like how small the pool was. For the cost of the hotel, I think the pool should have been a bigger investment. Considering it's summer, there were a lot of kids in the pool, and they didn't have much room to swim or play. Some of the guests decided not to swim once they saw how crowded the pool was. I also was a tab bit upset when we got back to our room, and the key was not working, although we paid for 2 nights. However, the young man at the first desk fixed that with no problem!

With the exception of the carpet in the room, the fresh new updated look and the space saver furniture really is great. The price is right and value good. The staff extremely friendly, hotel clean, location excellent.

The carpet in the rooms. They weren't wet but the humidity in the location and room when we checked in made the carpet feel sticky sort of speak. However once the room cooled down carpet was fine. No smells or stains or anything of that sort. I would remove all carpeting from all rooms. Carpeting today is outdated anything. Floors are much more sanitary than carpet and more easier to clean up with spills, dirt and such.

The Location was wonderful shopping (Tanger Outlet) across the road, Cracker Barrel next door if you wanted a sit in restaurant. The beaches about 5 miles up the highway and more shopping along the way. The OWA attraction park is 3 miles down the highway also. The breakfast at the hotel is enough for you to get your day started.

The staff needs to be consistent with everyone, don't make it look like you're choosing who you share information with. There is a $100 incidental fee that will be held on your card till you check out. I overheard the guy employee tell the gentlemen in front of me and then he told the gentlemen behind me. I read it online about the fee before I booked my reservation. I came back to the desk to let him know he didn't mention a fee to me, and it was unprofessional to tell other and not everyone.

Location was great! Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Gayleen was very attentive to make sure we had what we needed! Beds were comfortable, room was larger than expected. Overall very good stay! Loved the shampoo and conditioner on the wall!!

Our TV/TV remote didnt work correctly. It was frustrating. We weren't in the room much and it wasn't something that would have been fixed quickly. We forgot to mention it on our way out, so sorry to the next person in that room. I am sure they would have allowed us to move rooms, we were just tired and had a lot of stuff. So that's on us for not saying anything.

We liked the location for beach access, the shopping very nearby, the staff all friendly and helpful and most importantly, the cleanliness of the room. The housekkeeping was excellent..clean towels, room cleaned, trash emptied every day of our stay. We also liked the breakfast we had each day being included in the total price for the room!

The bathtub had no grip (roughness) on the bottom and was very slippery. There was one grab bar in the very front, OUTSIDE of the tub, almost even with the showerhead. If you used it you would step into the tub underneath the showerhead while the water was on. Thought the configuration was dangerous. There should be a grab bar inside the shower. Also the soap dish was not level so the bar of soap would slide off.

This hotel exceeded my expectations for our one night stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. The beds were soft and fluffy. The staff was great and welcoming. Our stay was quiet. I didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast as I slept in, but my family said it was good.

I love the convenience of the location! Staff is always friendly and the breakfast is a huge plus for us!! I love that they have a hot tub!

The walls are very thin and the rooms can be quite noisy because of it. The beds and blankets are so comfy but the pillows not so much!

This is the cleanest, best value, best smelling, most comfortable place I've ever stayed at. The staff is wonderful and friendly especially the lady that makes breakfast! The rooms are relatively large, and the beds are comfortable. Only about a ten minute drive to the beach, and it is a straight shot. The breakfast provided is actually pretty good. You are surrounded by places to eat and shop as well. We will definitely be back. I would rather stay here than some super fancy hotel. Great price for an exceptional stay.
