Really glad we stayed here. Our room was perfect - immaculately clean, stylish, well equipped & very comfortable. Fantastic shower with big cubicle and powerful spray. Good insulation so no noise from pub - we slept well. Staff will service room daily if you wish but we were happy with change of towels & refreshing tea & coffee. Breakfast is outstanding - generous and well cooked with eggs from local farm & lovely fried mushrooms. The pub is fab - old-fashioned ale pub with great selection of beers, friendly people and good basic bar food (fresh cobs, pork pies & giant Scotch eggs on grab them - served warm & super tasty). Great location for our event at Avoncroft Buildings Museum - ten minutes walk. Staff are brilliant (*waves to Helen *) and so is landlord Gary. Everyone's friendly & really thoughtful.

Would be nice to have hooks on back of bathroom door? Otherwise nothing - love exactly how things are!

Comfy, close to venue attended, rooms in a good pub

Sat afternoon we ordered breakfasts for the next day, Sunday. Seems staff in pub were confused what their roles were & confused which guests had ordered breakfasts and which not; we went down for b. Sun morning, the Landlord was present seemed ok at first, then got annoyed when the other guests came down saying they had ordered breakfasts which he said he had no idea about. It was CLEARLY his staff the night before caused this issue not taking note who ordered what. He would not accept blame himself & kept making excuses, not once did he apologise for poor communications on HIS side. Breakfast was fab tho’. Better Parking for guests also needs sorting out.

Beds were comfortable and location super for our needs. Pub was very quiet and staff very respectful and helpful.

Comforters on the bed could be bigger as they were “just” fitting the bed and kept slipping off. Chemical toilet had a bit of a chemical smell at times but not bothersome at times didn’t bother us at all. We had the room with 2 twin beds. Nice to have touches like a kettle and packets of tea/hot chocolate as well as bottles of water, biscuit packages and hairdryer.

The warm welcome from Helen was so appreciated, she even arranged for a couple of Roast Lamb and stuffing Cobs to be made for us just as the kitchen was closing....worth the journey just for that 😊...room was great... quiet,clean and well equipped with teas,coffees biscuits and bottled water. The Ales I tasted were excellent and very reasonably priced, just wish I could have tried all 12 of them 🍻..booked breakfast and so glad I did, Gary delivered a superb English and coupled with the cereal,fruit, juice and yoghurt I was well fueled for the onward journey. No doubt whatsoever that we would stay again and recommend it to others.

Great hospitable welcome, Gary the manager was friendly and helpful The room was great, well presented and spotlessly clean. Excellent shower and a comfortable bed. The bar area was nicely laid out, welcoming with a great choice of beers and snacks etc. A fantastic well run venue, I look forward to visiting again.

No real negatives, a shame there's was no food menu however. The recommendation of the pub up the road was good but would've like to have eaten on site instead of going out

Excellent fresh cooked breakfast. Access to room from carpark via fire escape as well as through pub. Very quiet room, no noise from busy pub or outside traffic at all. Walkable into Bromsgrove town centre, approximately 30 minutes. Excellent choice of good quality real ales in the pub

Emergency lighting in room very bright, not good if you need a dark bedroom to sleep.

The owners were ab fab! Nothing was too much trouble. You can tell that they put their hearts and souls into making this pub a huge success. Pub is on a quite busy road, but inside the pub is very quiet and the rooms are at the back, so even quieter. Joined in with the quiz night (Tuesday) and that was great fun. We even won a prize for coming last! This is a place for everyone and you'll be in heaven if you like real ale! We stayed here as it was ideal for the local canal walks, but we'll stay again even if not walking. Rooms are spotless and REALLY well decorated etc (we even came away with the colour of the paint used!) Only snacks available (very good ones at that!) but there's a great restaurant a 5 minute walk away. We'll be back, that's for sure!

Recently refurbished decent size room, very clean. Free parking on site. Manager Laura is very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Whereas they don't serve evening meals, the Ewe and Lamb is excellent and only a 4 minute walk away.

Breakfast not included, which was OK as we didn't have time the first day. Room not serviced but plenty of consumables supplied on request.

Lovely little pub with newly decorated rooms. The beds were really comfy and the shower was great. The owner got our room ready 3 hours early so we could check in before a wedding we had to go to. It was so appreciated! Above and beyond.

Only small complaint was that someone had thrown up on the carpet the night before. The staff had cleaned it as best they could but the room still smelled of sick.

First off - what lovely owners, I was made to feel so welcome throughout my visit! The room was finished beautifully, and was that clean and fresh felt like no one had stayed in it before me.

The only thing that made me score 9 instead a 10 was the limited catering - the evening menu was limited. However, Sandra the owner was really helpful pointing out other local options and offered anything I needed in terms of plates, cutlery and condiments if i wanted to order a take away. Unfortunately breakfast started too late for me to make which I was massively disappointed about having read the amazing reviews about the breakfasts. The hotel is a pub, so wouldn’t suggest it for a romantic weekend but for overnight stays for other purposes it is highly recommended - especially if you like real ales!
