Reception staff excellent and friendly. Room 'roomy' and well laid out.

The evening restaurant. Large screen with commentary of live cricket from Sky sports, plus two smaller screens, also showing cricket with no commentary. Only us and a family of two with a young child. Told by staff they were unable to switch off the TV until 21.30. Piped music was also playing in the background. We had our meal and left. Restaurant manager(?) came to take my finished plate and asked if I required a desert while my partner was still eating. She seemed put out when I told her I would prefer it if she left things as they were until my partner had finished her meal. More training I should think!

Big clean room with air conditioning. Huge comfortable kingsize bed and slept well during 2 night stay! Breakfast plentiful and made especially pleasant by characterful waitress who looked after my family exceptionally well. As we were a large party of 8 she put us in a private room which was appreciated as we could all sit together on one table. She also took the initiative to ask how long we were staying which was 2 nights and set up the same room for us the next morning. Its great to see hotels still operating with experienced staff instead of a booking app and minimum wage teenagers with minimum training. This was a pleasure to stay in.

Hey not much but a bit peeved that I had to pay for parking at £12 a night per car. Wasn't expecting that but I guess we were close to London. I had booked 4 double rooms and we had 2 cars for our family party but because of a mix up with one of the room charges (which was immediately refunded) parking for one car was waived as a gesture for goodwill. All this without me even being aware of the problem until checking out by which time it had been rectified. Again dealing with experienced staff makes all the difference.

A good hotel if you're on business or need a quiet place to work on a project as I was doing. It's on the main road but the windows keep all the noise out. The staff are very friendly which makes it that much more pleasant a stay. The hotel is lively and there always seemed to be some event going on while I was there which was nice because you see new faces come and go. The room was very clean and in good basic condition. I was just in a standard room so I wasn't expecting 5 star, just wanted a clean room I could work in and I got that. Lovely big desk in the room. I had breakfast and dinner included, and that was again a pleasant experience. Easy to order and some really lovely staff in the restaurant, smiling and helpful despite their busy schedule. The food was nice and freshly made. I would definitely be happy to book here again when I next need to escape to work on my project and I think it's great for short stop overs and business needs. I encourage the staff to please keep being smiley and friendly to the customers....we appreciate it....it's not common to find nowadays and it makes a lot of difference to the weary traveler.

The hotel parking area is very tiny and costly, it's much easier and cheaper to park in the council carpark across the road. There's a short underpath underneath the dual carriageway so it's easy to go between carpark and the hotel You can pay at the hotel when you're checking out and it's a reduced fee. Just ask at Reception and they'll explain.

Room size, comfy beds, nice breakfast spread, friendly staff, hotel cleanliness, location. Oh and the fact that reception can turn up the heating in your room with one quick phone call.

Rooms are a bit shabby, particular fixtures and fittings hanging off the walls or not installed properly, cracks obvious on the walls. Corner lamp in our room did not work although this was not a huge problem. Lack of a mini fridge for my milk. Advertises 'Starbucks' coffee at the bar, but no Starbucks coffee sizes (take out cups) and no Starbucks variety. Frankly does not taste of Starbucks, a garage machine has more authenticity than this supposed coffee machine. Food app for in-house restaurant needs updating as different from room menu given. This was confusing and after 40 minutes waiting for room service food ordered on the app we rang reception only to be told that most of the online app menu was wrong. However, problem was resolved quickly and we got free drinks as a result.

The rooms are compact but comfortable. There is individual temperature controls for each room, so it is easy to make the room just right. There are USB plugs on one side of the bed and a generous desk too. The staff were great and helpful. We ate one evening at the bar and the food was varied and good, the service was great!

Lovely clean hotel and decor. Helpful staff, especially the lady at breakfast was very attentive. Breakfast better than expected too.

Clean, lovely hotel. My only complaint is I still have a card holding fee pending in my account when I have paid at check out. Not the first time this had happened at the holiday inn when I have had to call and get it refunded.

Location and value for money. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good with a menu to choose from in addition to a breakfast buffet. Executive room was a good size. We were able to park on-site as the hotel was not full.

All good but we found the bed to be too hard for our liking. The bathroom needed a coat of paint!

Bed was really comfy and the room is very modern something I look for when I book hotels. Nice concierge, little touch’s with complimentary water and fruit.

Parking is a bit limited on site, if you have a lot of luggage going from the over flow car park to the hotel with all your bags might be annoying for some.

The room was a lovely size and had everything I could need for a short weekend stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, giving a warm welcome whenever we passed through the foyer.

I would have appreciated some vegan options at breakfast. I did have soya milk with my coffe, but other than that there weren't many hot food or continental vegan options available.
