Room was basically fine, the decor was perhaps a little tired, but was good value overall. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of food, all nicely prepared. Good lounge area. Very friendly staff.

There was a droning noise, an electric motor possibly, audible in the bedroom until the small hours. Not terrible, but kept me awake for a while.

Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice. Bed was very comfy and had a great nights sleep. Evening meal was very tasty, especially the asparagus and leek soup and also the chicken and ham pie. The steak was succulent and of a high standard.

We were not advised initially where to park if the car park was full, we had to park there the following 2 days, so would have been good to know in the first instance. Breakfast was luke warm on one day, but great the following day, also tea pot went cold very quickly, no offer of refresh, but I suppose we could have asked, but didn't.

Everything. Wind, rain, sunshine and thunder characterised my 3-night stay at this palatial hotel in the smart area of Seacroft. It is within walking distance of the sublime (Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve with its splendid views across The Wash to the Norfolk coast) and the ridiculous (amusement arcades galore and hot dogs at the fun fair). My room had an enchanting view of pine and willow as the Lincolnshire landscape receded into the background. The bed was very comfortable, and at dawn I was awakened by charming, squeaky birdsong right outside my window. The ensuite was indeed compact and bijou (the shower, with its sturdy handrail, was most satisfying), but its 'twin', the walk-in wardrobe, was delightfully capacious. The restaurant staff were courteous and welcoming, and the buffet-style cooked breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Fresh fruit with the cereals might be a better option than tinned. I didn't see gooseberry and cinammon yOgurt, but maybe I was just unlucky. The plush bar was a typically British affair: hushed conversation on Chesterfield sofas as the softly-piped Bee Gees screeched "You should be dancing, YEAH!" in vain. The reception staff were hard-working, efficient and polite, and my overall experience at this lovely hotel was "top drawer".

I would have welcomed fresh fruit with the cereals.

The breakfast was the only thing i could really fault. On booking in which was at 2pm and the recommended time on site says 3pm, I was told I had a 8.15 am slot for my breakfast and that was the only option. I find the attitude of the receptionist when i asked about this was very abrupt. If i had turned up on hotels specified 3pm, would i have been told sorry there was no breakfast slot left. I can honestly say I've never stayed in any hotels in my 58years where I've been told 8.15 is the only option (not everyone's lives are the same and people do have phisical limits) Rest of the hote I could not fault.

Everything apart from the breakfast incedent.

Location is excellent being a few minutes walk away from the busy town centre. Car parking is good. The hotel is a traditional hotel including a proper reception properly staffed, a large lounge with bar, and single rooms available. Value for money was exceptional. There is a bit of wear on the main stairway carpet but otherwise the hotel does not suffer from the "faded grandeur" feel that some seaside hotels do. Everything was up to date and in good condition. It is a very nice hotel. There are some excellent photographs of the Lancaster bomber and the local aviation connection.

The breakfast buffet could perhaps be a bit more sophisticated in todays terms - perhaps some pastries and fruit - but it was a perfectly acceptable traditional buffet in a spacious dining room.

The breakfast was excellent and the service generally was very good. I like its proximity to the centre but not being too close helped. The plentiful parking helped too.

t took time to get served at the bar on a couple of occasions more due to a member of staff covering a couple of posts at once. I would expect this to be better at peak times. Appreciate I wasn't there at peak times but it was difficult to get a seat despite the bar never being full. many of the large sofa areas seemed set up for groups of six or eight when moist groups were much smaller.

Very nice hotel, would recommend and stay again. Good breakfast and entertainment in evening. Good location and car park.

Booked on booking.com and hotel advertised bed and breakfast. Price seemed fair so booked. However when got to hotel there was posters all over reception and on toilet walls advertising mid week 4 nights, bed & breakfast and evening meal for less than we paid. Therefore made us feel disgruntled on arrival. All receptionist could say was should have rang hotel. We did enjoy our stay but this did annoy me and my Mum.
