Room interior was well decorated & several extra touches added a touch of luxury (Nespresso, scented soap). Staff was nice, bed comfortable, room was quiet as walls seem thick. Restaurant food was very good & communication with the inn leading up to our stay was great. Proximity to the airport was great since we needed to catch a flight the next day.

Our queen bed room and bathroom was very tight. Just understand that when you book. The surroundings are not as scenic as the listing makes it seem. It was unusually warm when we visited but since it can be that way several months of the year, a nice touch for the price we paid would have been an electric air purifier/fan. The windows open but unless there’s a breeze, it was little help with the heavy draperies.

We stayed at the hotel two nights and ate once in the restaurant. We really enjoyed both. The staff really cares about the satisfaction of the customer and the place is really nice. The room was lovely, it had a charming view, and there is a great attention to cleanliness. There was a tray in the room with a kettle (very clean - for us it was important) for tea (which is now usual in most hotel), but there was also a coffee machine and very nice biscuits and a choice of tea that is truly appreciable. The center of Edinburgh can easily be reached by bus (there is a bus stop just next to the hotel) and train (but be organized for the bus schedule - one per hour).

Nothing.

The food was incredible. We had dinner and breakfast at the Bridge Inn and were very impressed. The atmosphere was wonderful and peaceful. We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area. The hotel room was clean and simple and very quiet. It was our first night in Scotland for a 3 week trip and a great place to land and rest from our flight.

I felt the cost of the room was a little high compared to other places we stayed in Scotland. To be fair, the Bridge Inn is close to Edinburgh and rooms cost more in that area, so it was not extreme. We felt the food was correctly priced for the quality of the meals. Of our 3 weeks in Scotland, this was the second most expensive hotel room, but was not the nicest of the rooms we stayed in during our trip. Again, the area is beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable.

We loved our stay here - ended up in Ratho, as the more central hotels were fully booked, but this was a 20 minute taxi ride away from central Edinburgh and the next morning we really enjoyed waking up next to the canal in a nice quiet village. Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere in the place and we really enjoyed the breakfast the next day. Rooms looked newly-decorated and were very clean and comfortable. I would love to find a reason to go back, perhaps in the summer when the lovely beer garden would come into its own!

I guess the room was on the small side and there weren't bedside tables or sockets either side, but for such a short stay, it wasn't an issue.

There are no downsides to The Bridge Inn whatsoever. The real beauty of it, however, does not lie in the gorgeous environment, astonishing food, and comfy beds but rather with the care and compassion of the people who run it and work there. My husband was unwell, and not only did the staff inquire about him every time I came to the dining room, but a wonderful woman, Gwenda, took a trip to the chemist when I wasn't able to and pickup up a medication he needed. I cannot describe how cared for we felt, how grateful we are, and how humbled we are to have met these wonderful people and made them friends. Thank you to everyone at The Bridge Inn; we will return and will keep in touch in the meantime.

Good location for the airport (which was the reason for our stay), liked the fact it is on the canal. Food was very good, but pricey. Bed was comfy, good size bathroom.

It was expensive, we paid £200 for a standard rather small room, but guess you are paying for proximity to the airport. Food was rather pricey and drinks very expensive (almost £10 for a large glass of house wine) and we are used to Glasgow prices. Staff were very nice but they were short staffed in the restaurant (which was busy), by the time our drinks arrived we had almost finished our food.

Highly recommend staying here! We stayed for our last night in Scotland and it was the perfect farewell experience. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, delicious! I hade the pea risotto with pancetta paired with white wine and I’m drooling just thinking about it. The staff were so friendly and conversations were great! Views from the restaurant and the room were picturesque, especially seeing longboats and swans leisurely swimming in the nearby canal. We didn’t hear any noise from the floor below us or the rooms next to us during our stay, though we were very tired from our day of traveling. The bed was very comfortable, too! I wish it wasn’t raining while we were there so we could have enjoyed their outdoor space, looked like a great place to hang out. We walked around the canal footpath for a bit, very sweet and recommend. The Edinburgh airport is nearby enough that the drive in the morning was quick, but far away enough that there was no airplane noise. Pictures attached are the view of the canal from our room window, view of outside from our dining table, and view of the Inn from our walk on the canal footpath.

This hotel is adorable! Everyone was very accommodating and wonderful. The location was perfect - like being in the country, but very close to the airport. Meals were wonderful and service was great. The fill in manager (I don’t remember his name) was excellent and so helpful. Bathroom was huge. It was easily accessible to attractions west of Edinburgh.

The room size was a bit tight and luckily we could put our bags under the bed for storage. Lighting could be improved - especially in the bathroom. Being in a room on the road was difficult as the noise was very bothersome at night. The street light was right outside our window. We had to keep the window open because it was so hot and but then we had lots of road noise. That was the most difficult to deal with.

I only stayed for a night, but what a lovely place this is! Located in a really good position, it’s easy to reach and next to it there’s also a parking lot. The room was pretty, warm and clean. I had the chance to have dinner at the restaurant and try their food, which was delicious and also to have a chat with the staff. All of them were friendly and kind enough to book a taxi for the night, since my flight was scheduled very early. Unfortunately I left before breakfast time, but I would totally recommend this place.

Everything was good

Chose this hotel because of its location close to Edingurgh airport. What was planned as a practical solution turned out to be one of my favorite hotels ever. My room was so loveley, sight on the canal, antique furniture, very clean, lovely decorated. I also had dinner which was nice. I wish I had more time there to explore the nice path along the canal, and embrace the location even more. I had to leave at 5 am. The staff ordered me a taxi the night before. Very friendly and helpful. The barkeeper also was very friendly, and explained the local Whiskey to me. I would definitvely come back! Felt like a princess!
