Nant Gloyw Oswestry

Our hosts, Michael and Gayle, were fantastic. They couldn't do enough for you. Michael even picked us up from Gobowen train station and took us back there when it was time to leave. Their property is in a nice, quiet area of Oswestry and they have put much thought and care into the place. Our room was very big and had a two seater sofa and straight backed chair which both came in very handy in the evening whilst watching TV etc. The bed itself was very comfortable and the bathroom large and spacious with plenty of room for everything. The breakfasts were really lovely, with a good selection of breads, cereals and homemade jams and preserves and, on top of all that, lovely fresh eggs from their chickens every morning, cooked any way you liked. They have a very nice garden out the back you can sit in too. We wanted to go to the British Ironworks centre, which is quite difficult to get to without a car (we don't drive) but Michael very generously gave us a lift there and even picked us up again later. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would 100% recommend them and their B & B to anyone who is thinking of staying in Oswestry. We would certainly stay there again. :)

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like or would change, it was pretty much perfect. The only slight thing from our point of view as non drivers is it's a bit of a walk from the B & B into town, only a few minutes, but we had glorious weather so coming back, which is a little uphill, was very tiring. However, that's not the B & B's fault, it's just us getting old!

The Nant Gloyw guest house offers lovely accommodation with the warmest of welcomes. The bedrooms are light, spacious, well-equipped, and immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable, there is a good choice of teas & coffee's in room, and a flat screen TV with freeview. The breakfast is vegan but has plenty of choice, including homemade preserves and warm pastries! The location is easily accessible by car, with limited private parking. It is a 15-minute stroll to the town centre. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and my wife and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

First time staying here, but certainly won't be the last. From the warm welcome, the large tastefully decorated room, comfortable bed and delightful selection of teas, coffee and biscuits, to the homemade brownies and ginger cake, everything was quite lovely, our host even managed to dry my husbands soaked trainers for him. Breakfast selection is great, plenty to choose from. Location was really good for us being a short walk into town and all amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nant Gloyw.

Absolutely impeccable accommodation. Very welcoming hosts and large, well appointed and comfortable bedroom with excellent en-suite. A very quiet location just a short distance from the town centre and all amenities. Good choice of breakfast items to satisfy all needs. Secure locked garage for bicycle storage and off-road car parking on drive. Could not have been better. A superb standard of B and B and one others should aspire to. Many thanks.

Impossible to fault.

The property in Oswestry is in a fabulous location with great access to other parts of Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales. The rooms and facilities are of a high standard and the hosts Gayle and Michael were fantastic, very hospitable, making sure we were comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay, a real pleasure. Breakfast was a real treat every day with homemade jams and compotes to start the day in addition to a lovely cooked breakfast, and also homemade treats to come back to in the evening 😋. The property website is very good with lots of really useful information regarding where to eat and attractions both locally and a bit further afield, directions and much more. Great stay and one the best B&B’s we have had the pleasure to visit. Much thanks to Gayle & Michael for a really enjoyable stay.

Everything Michael the host was a great guy who was very attentive and would go that extra mile if he had to. Although the typical full English breakfast was not an option, the freshly laid eggs, homemade jams and fruits among just a few of the breakfast items on offer certainly made a delicious alternative. comfortable cleanliness location all top class. breakfast was vegetarian but as a non vegetarian found the quality and choice fabulous. All home made breads jams fruits cereals and the most amazing eggs cooked however you wish. Freshly laid by the chickens at the bottom of the garden. The rooms were of a good size and everything you could want. We were travelling with a seven week old baby and both Michael and Gayle could have been more helpful

Gayle and Michael are and were excellent hosts. They were very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. Our ensuite room, at the rear of the building was incredibly spacious, clean and tidy. A large screen Smart tv on which you could watch Netflix free of charge. Great selection of Teas, Coffee and Hot Chocolate and plenty of milk and bisciuts. Very comfortable bed and added bonus of a Sofa. We would highly recommend this Lovely place to anyone and everyone. It really is a Little Gem. We had a Lovely stay and would definitely return if in the area again 😀

Loved everything about the place. Host very friendly and helpful. Provided chilled water and fresh milk for tea in room. Large choice of teas and coffee. The chocolate fudge cake was to die for!! Very comfortable bed and large ensuite. A 15 minute to walk into town. Beautiful scrambled egg for breakfast. We would certainly recommend this accommodation and hope to return.

There was nothing that we did not like.

We just spent one night in this guest house and I would have liked to stay for longer! A super nice place to stay if you are visiting Oswestry, I would 100% recommend it. The room itself was cozy and had everything we needed to feel like at home. Michael was very attentive since the moment we made the booking. He shared information about how to reach the place, recommended us things to visit in Oswestry... Last but not least, the breakfast, it was just awesome!
