Lochside House Hotel & Spa

The staff in the bar and restaurant were really friendly, professional and accommodating. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The spa was lovely and the rooms were clean and decorated to a high standard.

Tetley tea bags in the room!!!! Terrible teabags for such a luxury hotel! The room and hotel was way too hot and there was no way to put some cool air on through air con or anything! We struggled to have hot showers because we were so clammy with the heat of the room and hotel in general!

Great location, golf course next door. Ladies enjoyed pamper day. Food excellent. Alcohol free beer and cider available.

Standard room does not get a view. Instead you are looking out at ventilation units on lower roof. Floors in the bedrooms creak when walked upon very loudly. I was woken several times as I thought someone had come into the room during the night when neighbouring bedroom occupants went to bathroom. Not good at all.

Stayed over for a friends wedding. Entire place is stunning, very well presented with very modern decor throughout, public areas really are immaculate. The whole day was excellent, staff, food, bar, accommodation were all faultless.

Location is somewhat remote, and taxis very thin on the ground which is why we opted to stay here. Room was very warm (with the heating off), no bad thing in Scotland but weather was mild on this occasion so slept with patio doors open a crack.

I booked this spa hotel as a present for my daughter’s birthday. I’m so happy with my choice as everything and everyone were beyond our expectations. The staff from the reception to bar and restaurant, all were so kind, helpful and friendly. It felt like we knew them all. I booked an afternoon tea on arrival which was one the best I ever had so far. Dinner was amazing including our cocktails and also the breakfast. The scenery was breathtaking! We will come back again definitely.

The only disappointment was that I found out the Thermal Suite Facilities were closed due to COVID restrictions which is understandable. Hopefully on our next visit we can use them too.

location & the rooms were fab.

I had booked my husband a birthday treatment which he loved. I however had planned to swim but the pool was shut for cleaning. had I known in plenty of time I would not had paid for something I couldn’t use. so very disappointed with the cost of only half facilities. by then I couldn’t book a treatment for myself as it was too late

a beautiful location .

it was out first night as husband & wife yet despite providing this information at the time of booking , I was disappointed to see no wee special touches , such as a bottle of Prosecco or flowers and chocolates. overnight the room was way too hot .

Flawless experience even though I made an error with my booking 🙃 Erin went above and beyond to sort it out for me and reassure me that everything was sorted. Staff really made us feel welcome and couldn't have been more attentive even with a wedding on and various other guests.

The staff are the biggest asset, every single one of them were happy and helpful and smiling even behind their masks. Id like to make a special mention for Mark in the restaurant. He was working behind the bar at the time and we asked him about the renovations and told him we were getting married at Lochside, so he took us through to the new suits and showed us what was going to get changed and what the place was going to look like. He definitely went above and beyond and 100% knew his stuff very well. Also Lindsay, the wedding coordinator we met with was as lovely as she has always been when we've met with her, she even remembered my fiancée and I. We got a massage on the morning we checked out. I didn't catch the name of the girl who did mine, but she was absolutely fantastic and such a nice person, made me feel at ease right away and gave me a brilliant massage that absolutely definitely helped me. We met the man that owns the hotel, sorry ive forgotten his name as well. He stood and spoke to us while Mark was showing us around. The fact he stood and chatted to us is a credit to him, he wasn't walking around like some pretentious owner who thinks he's better than everyone else. A very down to earth gent.

The patio looking over the gardens and the Loch. The location was beautiful and silent at night. The restaurant was lovely. Very clean, hand sanitizer everywhere. Pleasant staff and great food for breakfast and dinner. Service was also fantastic. Fresh warm cooked food.

No fridge. Bottled water left out but it was lukewarm. No slippers left either.
