The setting was beautiful, staff friendly. Room comfortable.

I'd paid for a room upgrade which was supposed to provide a river view. In reality the river was barely visible and the view was of the Courtyard.

Fabulous location and very comfortable room. All the staff were superb, really efficient and helpful. In particular Huyla served us breakfast on our 3 mornings. She was excellent.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. We expected more choices and didn't really like having to pay a supplement for certain items. It just seemed a little mean given what we'd paid to stay. We prefer 'proper' sausages made from a local butcher and the bacon to be a bit crispier. We'd had hearty breakfasts at other places we've stayed recently so couldn't help comparing it. Some freshly baked bread rolls would have been nice with the continental breakfast cheeses and meat. Small request to add: please put peg to hang things in all bathrooms. I had one but it was loose. Not a major problem.

A beautiful setting and all public areas were very welcoming and comfortable. We only booked a basic room as we were only staying one night to visit family. The romm was very pleasant and comfortable. Dinner menu was varied and reasonably priced. b Both of our choices were delicious all staff were very pleasant and helpful

We thought the breakfast menu was already overpriced at £26 and the the surcharge of £6 for things like eggs benedict was a bit exorbitant Breakfast room was busy although there were plenty of staff on but had to ask several times for empty items to be refilled. So only downside was breakfast

The service in the restaurant at dinner was exceptional, food was lovely and the portions were just right . The wait for food was minimal.The head waiter was wonderful. The reception staff were excellent , good knowledge and professional .

Breakfast was a little disappointing, purely to the fact of allergens , no dairy free butter available for a lactose intolerance. No marmalade for toast ? The poached eggs on the plate came 10 mins before the toast ! No introduction to the breakfast service ,was it self serve etc etc ! No alternative milk on show and we’re the pastries dairy free ?? The servers didn’t seem to know ? Some labelling would of saved the customer wondering ,a few vegan pastries would of been nice and also acceptable to non vegans !

Excellent location, room was really nice but very warm, comfy bed, breakfast good, staff were mostly very polite if some in need of more training and service needs attention. Sindhu restaurant was great food and service excellent. No lift.

Service is in need of attention/more training possibly the answer. Not great being made to feel like we were trespassing when we first arrived after checking in and were having a look around and wanting to order drinks and lunch whilst waiting for our room by being asked several times by the same waitress that we should not be in that area as it was for guests!

Location was superb - we stayed in the superior suite also known as the Windsor Suite. The suite itself is furnished beautifully and it’s extremely spacious - we ate in the Riverside restaurant Friday evening which served fantastic food. Reception staff and the Restaurant manager were extremely pleasant and super helpful. They did ensure every ask was met.

A little disappointed that a mini fridge was in the room and empty. I would have liked a little something in there given the cost of the room. We asked for the room to be serviced but sadly housekeeping swept away cups, towels etc and didn’t put clean ones back in their place . I had to phone and ask reception for this. Whilst this is a trivial matter, attention to detail is everything. Our first room service breakfast was cold and had little accompaniments, but after a quiet word to reception as we didn’t want to cause a fuss, Sundays breakfast was superb and loved it. The food is great. All in all it was a wonderful stay we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The hotel has a fantastic location with a lovely view from the room, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's just a short walk from Marlow town centre, accessible via the suspension bridge, and the dining room provides a beautiful view of the weir.

Although the bathroom appeared a little outdated, our main concern was the delay in receiving hot water, which may have been due to the fact that there were no other guests in the corridor. Nevertheless, when we brought this issue to their attention, the staff was extremely helpful and promptly offered us a room upgrade.

I loved the location, room and River View from Deluxe Double. Also eating Breakfast in comfy conservatory while the sun shone in, Sunday Church Bells rang & rowers rowed past on the river. Tried small Nespresso machine for first time! Great location right on river, short walk to the Park, Restaurants, Pubs & Shops. Staff were helpful & polite. Lovely and quiet. When I woke 4ish a.m. opened window & could only hear the birds & weir nearby. Would go again.

The prices I guess but is 4 Star Hotel. Creaky floors landings etc but old building charm. Lots of stairs & read room signs carefully! Wasn't sure how to work heating but thankfully was warm enough.Not sure room should've cost as much as it did or Breakfast, drinks etc but is Marlow! My Partner had 'Full English' only one of each ingredient ie one sausage, small black pudding etc. Didn't fill him up. Avocado on toast was OK but tasted a bit sour? Like it had a good squirt of lemon juice sprinkled on it! but otherwise lovely buffet etc.

The location right on the Thames by the bridge next to the town centre is fantastic, you really couldn't ask for a better position for a hotel. The decore was period and in good condition with a comfortable lounge, bar and a riverside restaurant with stunning views over the Thames. We had lunch where the quality was good with decent sized portions and very tasty in a perfect location overlooking the Thames. The breakfast which is always a highlight for me was a slight disappointment with good quality ingredients but small portions on the Full English. Our room (14) was a good size, period and had a wonderful dual aspect overlooking the river and the bridge. The bathroom was possibly the only slight let down for me who prefers a shower rather than a shower head over a bath but that's just personal choice. The staff were all excellent metering out personable friendly yet discreet efficient service with Dave the concierge a standout staff member with his knowledge and infectious enthusiasm and friendliness. Definitely will be returning to this hotel and I highly recommend it.

Small breakfast No net curtains so had to close the blackout ones during the day to change.

the staff at the restaurant were exceptional. the tea time table has left us wondering about the general setting and service as well. the room given to us was with the wall paper falling . total surprise as the property used to be well kept . we were place in a room side to the car park… what was a complete blow off . anyway we manage to enjoy the city and the warm welcoming of Marlow people. will sure comeback but not sure about Compleat Angler anymore. 🥲
