Best Western Plus Ullesthorpe Court Hotel & Golf Club

Breakfast was good, great variety, one of the female staff members at breakfast was really lovely, room was huge, beautiful view from windows, comfortable bed slept very well. Tv huge, bathroom nice and you can tell some money has been spent to make it that way. Overall very clean. Pool area was good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are very nice. Would stay here again but would eat main meal elsewhere.

Main meal was not that great. For the price of £21 the beef brisket was really over cooked, dry and hard. Could not finish it but the chips were nice. Could not taste the Gin in my lemonade 😄

There were lots of positive things about my stay, let's start with the room, very standard and comfortable. I went swimming a lovely pool area the walk to the changing room not the greatest but what was standout was the young man on the pool reception (glasses and lots of tattoos, dark hair) I left my key in my room, wasn't a hundred percent sure of my room number, he sorted it while I had a swim, was helpful and chatty with it. I had my dinner early and was greeted by a very polite man ( jake or Jack maybe,16 years old ) took my order no problem, I ordered a burger and chips the chips were absolutely delicious the best I've had in a long time. I came back later in the evening for pudding and coffee, the pudding was absolutely perfect, I had the chocolate thing with chocolate in the middle it was a show stealer hats off for that.....slept fine the bed was clean and comfy the room itself was a good temperature not too hot, went for breakfast again absolutely lovely the same young waiter a nice amount of chat for the morning not to much, very very pleasant stay.

There really wasn't alot I didn't like, I ordered a floater coffee in the evening apparently the cream sank so not really a floater coffee but that's it .

We stayed in a luxurious suite and it was really lovely room. Very clean and nice furniture with a good layout. It had three windows as it was on the corner of the building. It felt like an apartment rather than a room. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely 😊. The pool area is quite small but we’ll looked after. The hot tub was lovely. The staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Jayne was very responsive to all of my messages and questions before we arrived and greeted us fondly when we checked in. The waiting staff in the restaurant where things are a bit more formal we’re very friendly and helpful. My daughter had her nails done by Chloe who was very nice. Breakfast was good and again the staff were almost providing table service despite it being buffet style breakfast. Some areas I feel could do with sprucing up a bit but I would absolutely stay again. I can’t praise the staff enough so attentive and obviously love working there. There are a lot of groups of golfers mainly blokes having a good time and can be a bit noisy but the staff are good at ensuring the quieter guests families etc are in the restaurant and the noisier groups in the bar. Lastly really want to mention the ladies and gents working in the pool area who are very friendly and make all sort of efforts to ensure you are enjoying your time in the leisure area. We had lunch in the pool area and it was very nice 😊.

The stairs from the pool up to the changing rooms were a bit grubby with all the outdoor shoes going up and the changing rooms are very small. The stairs and the changing area are what I think could do with improvement.

Lovely size room and very clean and quiet. Really enjoyed fruit in room. Room facilities good. Mattress very firm, suited me but not my partner. Beautiful bathroom.

Breakfast could be presented better, greasy eggs literally floating in oil and cramped food area in bar. Catering toaster without instructions and a queue to use. Plain plastic wrap bread, come on even the supermarkets offer a choice! Well staffed but maybe think about using that seating area for cereals for some elbow room . Fridge in room fitted badly without vents and overheating. Hotel lighting a bit blinding outside. Both reported to reception. Staff helpful.

the property was really cosy & simply great. our trip was very last minute and Jayne ensured we had a great stay. the facilities were fab. indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi which was all complimentary. The hotel was quite remote, so not many shops around. you’d need to get in your car and drive around 10mins either way to get to any shops. but it was serene & quiet. Will definitely visit again.

The hotel was lovely, our room was very comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast was very good. We had a lovely greeting from the receptionist when we arrived. The pool was very nice but maybe the sauna and steam room should be working for the complete opening hours and not just from 9am, also no toilet near the pool is inconvenient as you have to go back to the changing area upstairs which makes the floor slippery near the stairs.

Hotel staff were well presented but did not speak or say good morning when they passed us in the corridors and we passed waiters, cleaners, receptionist and managers all of who passed as if you were not there, very strange!

Having family in the area we often need to find a local hotel for special family occasions. After staying at Best Western Ullesthorpe Court Hotel we will no longer need to search for a good hotel but will on all future visits stay here . The staff and I mean all of the staff were absolutely brilliant so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful . The spar is lovely. Everything about this hotel is top notch. Highly recommend it. Thank you Ullesthorpe Court for making our stay so very relaxing and enjoyable.

There simply isn't anything you couldn't like.

Outdoor seating area was lovely. They were able to accomodate our bike storage requirements, although outdoors they were locked safely.

The bar service was far too slow. Bar was unattended on a sunny afternoon, had to wait 20 mins for staff to come. Dinner service was terrible, resulting in us calling the duty manager to complain about a 45 minute wait for drinks. Shame as the food was mostly excellent and the rest of the stay exceeded expectations.

overall all of the hotel was very well kept, everywhere was nice and clean! I had one little issue with the hot water and it was fixed immediately. All The staff were very friendly, the food was amazing and very well priced! the grounds were very nice. can really say enough good things about this hotel! 100% recommend it.

No air conditioning in the rooms. not an issue for my stay but can imagine it would be very hot in the summer.

Enjoyed a couple of nights away at Ullesthorpe Court, which was handily located for a leisure trip to see events at the NEC during the CWG 2022. It was reasonably priced compared to other available options, especially with the use of the pool & spa facilities included. Some guests might find the decor a little dated in places; though the comfortable beds & decent breakfast on offer more than made up for this, especially as the glorious weather meant it was nice to be able to sit out on the terrace & enjoy morning coffee. Also discovered a secret snooker room which was a bonus!
