Bonnie inn and village. Very comfortable room. No view sadly and dark as it looked onto a hedge. Food was yummy, had dinner and breakfast there. Very handy for Kelmscott Manor.

Was traveling alone and had lots of luggage. No help offered to take it to my room. Welcome was “Have you booked?” Staff training required?

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, trying hard to meet my discomfort with the dining room arrangements. The car parking was excellent. It was a huge advantage to have a pleasant room on the ground floor and I enjoyed having access to a daily newspaper. The shower was lovely in a very spacious bathroom.

Some help in finding the location would have been good! Some tables in the dining room were too close together. For the price little things like fresh milk, a tea pot and biscuits were missing from the bedroom. The meals and wine were very expensive and not particularly good value except for the 'Coronation' night.

Dog friendly, good breakfast and lovely location & village. very friendly staff

Slightly unusual not to leave the hairdryer in the room? Ultimately led to forgetting to ask as they are locked away elsewhere- and not having it when needed in the morning which was annoying. Dinner was just okay when I was expecting it to be great- £10 for a half a ball of Burrata with a couple of cold spring onions, felt insulting. The main was just okay but found it to be quite oily and again was overpriced. Breakfast was tasty but the room needs a through clean- in the daylight it was easy to see food from the night before on the floor and quite of lot of areas that needed a good scrub.

Excellent Dinner. Staff mixed varying from friendly and helpful particularly at breakfast to more average. Nice looking bar and dining room. Room was basic, had quite a lot of kitchen noise and was dark and gloomy but other rooms appeared better. Had a reduced rate for Sunday booking so all in all acceptable but would have been poor value at full cost.

Told in advance wife’s birthday and asked for table by fire for dinner. Request not honoured and no acknowledgement of birthday - relatively small thing but speaks to attention to detail and general approach to customer service.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent, if pricey - the food was delicious. Our son and little grandson joined us for one night and they went out of their way to help us out with the baby. David gave us helpful advice about walks in the area and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was great!

There was no room where guests could sit and relax, without being in the bar/ dining-room, where you felt you were in the way. Fortunately the weather was good and we could sit outside. The bedrooms were comfortable but not spacious. But it’s a pub with rooms not a hotel!

Atmosphere, staff and food were all amazing. Nicely decorated rooms with attention to detail. Great location, surrounded by breathtaking countryside. A true gem. We will return.

Only one aspect was less than great. Our room had very poor sound isolation. In Room 4, we could hear the kitchen (less of an issue as the bathroom isolated it), but the wall to room 5 was so transparent both conversations and snoring could be heard quite loudly.

Breakfast was really lovely loved the Bloody Mary touch but there was not enough tomato juice and on the last morning there was none! We were lucky we got to stay in the pub and not outside in the cabins although I should imagine they would be lovely as well. Towels were a nice treat as they were big and soft not skimpy and harsh.

The bed was a bit soft for my husband and I

Such a lovely pub! We ate here last year and loved it so much we came back this year and stayed. We love the atmosphere and the venison pie to share is a definite must! Breakfast was really good too - we expected continental but the option of cooked was great! Comfy bed and nights sleep.

Room 1 can be noisy being above the main pub room but it didn’t bother us at all! The green light of the exit sign is bright but nothing a tshirt didn’t fix.

the food was delicious, the breakfast especially was superb. the morning staff were very friendly and helpful. a dark haired girl on the evening who I think may have been kitchen staff was absolutely lovely. dog friendly, with lots of walks in the local area. the general cleanliness was excellent, and the cleaning lady was also lovely.

the two younger evening staff weren’t very welcoming. we stayed in a standard double, it is not big enough for a couple and two dogs. the en-suite was tiny.
