What an amazing property, such character & history. I felt like the lady of the manor, never had to use a stool to get into bed. The jacuzzi bath was a relaxing surprise, lovely touches like a little fridge on the landing with milk for tea/coffee, a coffee machine in the room, bottle of cold water, shampoo etc in bathroom. Yes it has uneven floors, lots of random steps up & down, old wooden beams & no tv but if you want real character & something different then this it. Great detailed instructions for you to find your room & how to order breakfast. Owner was very welcoming & made it clear that if I needed anything or had any issues I was to call his mobile anytime. If I am in this area again (or within an hour) I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

If I have to say anything I was a little chilly during the night, maybe a mat on the marble bathroom floor for middle of the night toilet trips.

Everything was perfect! Felt like travelling back in time and becoming a noble person just for a little moment. Each guest is treated here individually with warm welcome from very beginning. Cherry on top of the cake was typical British breakfast prepared and served by David in the beautiful old dining room. I was dying to visit British countryside to get its small-town vibe and I couldn’t wish better experience. I am sad we couldn’t stay longer. I can only hope that our travels will once bring us back to this lovely manor.

It's just how you might imagine an old Manor House should be. Creaky floorboards, sticking doors, stuffed full of antiques and paintings. We loved it! Although no TV or radio would not be for everyone. David is a welcoming host who pulls up a chair and shares his thoughts readily. We would happily stay again.

Could have done with a small table and a second chair in the huge bedroom. The extraordinarily high bed was more of a laugh than a problem!

This was an absolutely brilliant find in the lovely little village of Harlington. David the host was absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble. He was attentive, warm and welcoming and we had a lovely chat about wine and the history of the house before I had to go out for the evening - I could happily have spent the evening by the fire in the property chatting all night if I hadn’t been! The bed was supremely comfortable, spacious and the bathroom was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, and although I didn’t get to spend too much time there due to business reasons, David still made me an exceptional breakfast before I had to leave (he is a semi professional chef so it stands to reason!). In summary, a truly fantastic stay, absolutely faultless and ran by an owner who takes pride in what he does and does it faultlessly. I would 100% recommend Harlington Manor to anyone. Look forward to staying again in future.

Wow - what an amazing gem. This place is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and being a Manor House it is quirky, unique, grand, comfortable, special and spectacular all in one. David serves up the best breakfast you’ll ever get and if your lucky enough to have a chat with him you’ll find that he is a wonderful person to talk to who will remember your name and will take time to make sure you have everything you need. Absolutely loved our stay and hope to be lucky enough to stay again in the future

Everything was perfect. I’d love to live in a place like this beautiful Manor House. It is stunning

The 600 year old Manor is an incredible piece of history with all the charm and character you would expect, lovingly cared for by David and his wife. My room was opulent and fit for a king, with a fabulous en-suite and huge bath. I very much enjoyed chatting to David over breakfast; he holds a highly interesting and engaging conversation. The fruit salad was delicious and poached & smoked breakfast was excellent. There is a very comfortable and relaxed feel to the Manor considering it’s grandeur and that’s because David is very warm and welcoming; it’s clear he genuinely likes to engage with his guests which I found added greatly to the experience.

Everything about my short one night stay pleased me greatly.

Had a fantastic stay on the way back from visiting Harry Potter World. David was fantastic, he greeted us at the gate and showed us to the room (and asked what we would like for breakfast, and told us about food and things to do nearby etc). The grounds, building and room were lovely, comfy and clean - really liked the historical aspect and the feel for the place. Breakfast was great (in a stunning dining room). Price was fab. Good conversation too. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

We loved our stay, even though it was only the one night. Harlingtion Manor is a piece of English history. Huge rooms, ornate decoration, I expected cavaliers to pop in any minute. If you like pristine finishes, modern lines and minimalistic decor, this is not the place for you. However, if you want the feel of the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries then this is the place. The host was amiable, interesting and interested in us. Top that with a great breakfast in a room once believed to have hosted a king.

Very engaging host with lots of interesting conversation. Large, comfortable room with 4-poster bed and sofa. Interesting house in a nice location with large garden. Although we had travelled to attend a funeral, we were able to visit some local points of interest and found more in that regard than we had expected. A very nice trip.

Lighting in stairways could be better - my wife is slightly disabled and found this concerning. This being a very old property, many of the floors are not perfectly level, which again caused my wife some anxiety. An able-bodied person with reasonable eyesight should have no issues.

A delightful period property in a quiet village with a genial host. It has excellent rail links to London and there are a good choice of gastropubs in nearby villages.

Breakfast was adequate but not the variety we have experienced elsewhere. With the age of the property you were unable to lock the bedroom door from the outside which may put guests off.
