This hotel is undergoing a huge renovation programme but despite that it was a fabulous place to stay, the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us particularly the doorman who offered an exemplary service and is a credit to the business. The facilities on offer were excellent with a cinema room and a newly renovated gym. The restaurant offers an interesting menu with limited choices but more than satisfactory for our needs,

There was very little to dislike, parking is an issue and will undoubtedly be worse in the height of summer, when all the renovations are completed there is no doubt that this establishment will rival anything that Bournemouth has to offer.

When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised, the location of the hotel can not be faulted, prime spot for the beach. The hotel room is cosy and decorated beautifully. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, both of which were great. The hotel is undergoing some improvements at the moment so unfortunately there was some construction but I was made aware of this prior to the stay and it did not bother us too much. On more than one occasion we made comment to how friendly and helpful each member of staff we came into contact with was, this alone is enough to guarantee a return visit from us.

For the price point of the hotel and the market it sits in, I personally felt like there should be a few more amenities in the room (like a shower cap!) and the breakfast was a little 'light' when it arrived. A pillow menu would be welcome as the bed is very soft. If you book the 'double or twin room' option it should be noted that your double bed, is just the two twins pushed together so you will still feel as though you are sleeping alone.

Lovely decor, not always very practical though. Such as the restaurant dinning chairs. Look Lovely but very uncomfortable with no back support.

Creepy guy in a suit in the restaurant. Possibly the restaurant manager? As soon as you take the last mouthful of drink/food he appears from no-where and immediately snatches your empty glass/plate. He was over attentive. - needs to take a chill pill!

The room and hotel décor were exquisite, the room was extremely well equipped with very nice touches like the cocktail bar, sundries etc. The outside space was a real joy with a great view. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast lunch and dinner was excellent, good prices and great portions, we will certainly be back

Everything was great, so no dislikes but very minor areas for improvement. 1. Glasses or paper recycled paper cups for mouth rinsing in bathroom 2. Matts on steps to balcony fixed so not a trip hazard 3. Larger choice on menu for dinner for guests on longer stays

Our room was superb with a great verandah and very comfortable bed. It was wonderful to be able to open the door and sit outside with our dog, who usually gets very hot in hotel rooms. Although there was some work going on outside, we were warned prior to arriving about it, and it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the room. The hotel is in an excellent position, being near to the Chines and beach and easy walking distance into the town. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average.

We felt the breakfast could be improved upon. The sausage was fatty and there could be more options for vegetarians, although the smashed avocado with eggs was good. We didn’t like the washbasin in the bathroom. It didn’t seem to fulfil it’s basic function! Hardly any room to wash one’s hands and extremely difficult to fill the kettle.

The hotel is outstanding . Very close to the beach . The staff are very friendly and helpful , the rooms are very clean and comfortable . Loved the bar and the breakfast was a 7/10. Plus the receptionist allowed me to charge my phone for a bit even though I clocked out already .

You can’t open the windows the rooms can get quite hot but there is a ac button you can press but it’s very light . Plus I am a woman of colour and this elderly lady kept on looking at me and making me feel uncomfortable.( not staff , guest )

Great facilities and staff. We used outdoor pool/spa/ indoor pool/ room service/ restaurant and gym. All great. We had a suite with a terrace and great weather so used it a lot as 2 friends. Felt private enough to us as noone else out on theirs but the screens aren't solid so not very private if everyone is out on them.

It's quite a location for locals on a night out so doesn't feel very exclusive if that's what you want. Also I didn't have my kids with me for this stay but it wouldn't work for families in my opinion. Although it has family stuff which is great the vibe is very much couples and groups of mates, young kids just wouldn't work here! It's too expensive for what it is and the town it's in but does feel luxury nonetheless. View from our terrace lovely and relaxing but "seaview" is a bit of a stretch due to trees obscuring vast majority of the sea

The best location, a very cool hotel with an amazing heated swimming pool, a great vibe some very nice staff The bedrooms were fabulous; the beds were dreamy we had a sea view which was definitely worth the extra!

Service wasn't great - the general manager was a bit strange and over the top. Loads of staff but not really knowing how to handle busy periods - a few teething troubles with service, waiting for ages for coffees at breakfast, staff are all very young but, in my opinion, they need a really good experienced hospitality manager to lead them otherwise a really lovely hotel oh apart from the lift which cant handle busy periods! Once they get the management right, this would be an exceptional hotel

Beautiful hotel with some lovely touches to make it special. The rooms were fabulous and the complementary water was appreciated. Food good quality too.

The service needs fine tuning. We asked 3 times for the bill at dinner, twice for my tea at breakfast and several times for drinks that didn’t arrive we also waited for ages to be acknowledged at breakfast. We were made to wait for 20 minutes in a queue for our table. On the whole the service was very slow and the staff not very attentive. They were very polite and friendly though.

Excellent modernised luxury hotel (ex The Savoy) with a Cuban/South American slightly wacky theme. Great staff always on hand and helpful. Our room had a lovely view over Poole Bay. The restaurant menu is short, the food is exceptional, with wonderful breakfast. We ate in for all meals and had super service. The zigzag leading to the promenade and the beach is at the end of the hotel garden. The hotel has a barrier controlled car park, and the porter will park your car. We will be back.

Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, maybe this is still "work in progress." The car park charge is £10.0 per night, which, given the cost of accommodation, seems petty and mean. There is otherwise only limited on-street parking. At the time of our visit, half the garden had been taken over by builders constructing a spa. This is overlooked by sea view bedrooms (including ours) and the bar and restaurant. It's not noisy, just ruins the view. Our bath was in the bedroom, not really our thing!
