White Horse Inn

Lovely cosy pub with nice garden. Bar staff were very busy with unexpected diners from a local bike event so service was slow but they were trying their hardest and very friendly and accommodating. Food was good, if a little on the pricey side for pub grub.

Shower tray didn’t empty well. Had to wait between showers. TV was glitchy. Small issues, didn’t detract from a good value stay.

The Inn was situated in beautiful surroundings and although close to the main road, no noise could be heard inside. It was an authentic old inn with thatched roof and beams, but this did not impair the comfort & funtionality of the room. Although the chef was away the proprietor kindly arranged a hot meal for us. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

There was good food and a thriving bar. So much better than going somewhere with little custom.

It seems the rooms that are a little cheaper are above the bar. You can clearly hear the people in the bar. This wasn't a problem for me, but beware, if you don't like it, book the rooms that are about 10 pound more per night. Still a good deal.

Lovely stay. The twin room was amazing! So much space and a lovely sofa in the corner. The accommodation is quite separate from the pub so it was very quiet and everything we needed was readily available. Would highly recommend. Great location as well. The A303 is virtually inaudible even though it's almost right above you and a supermarket is just 10mins down the A303. It's great to have found somewhere relatively close to Bath, which we're likely to visit fairly frequently, where wecan check into if need be in the future! Thanks a lot! :)

It would have been helpful to have a little more space to hang towels. A hook on either side of the en suite door would have been great. No matter, we were able to use the wardrobe instead. Really though, overall it was a superb experience and I'm sure we'll be back again sometime soon!

The hotel is very convenient for travelling from the A303, the staff were very friendly and helpful and despite being so close to a main trunk road was surprisingly quiet.

The one thing which could have been improved on was the heating in the room. It was a very cold night and the heating in the room was minimal and could not be adjusted.

We had 3 separate rooms and each was beautifully presented. We ate in the pub below and the food was excellent. Staff were very welcoming. Hopefully we will stay again when in the area.

Whilst it didn't bother us, be aware the rooms are over a pub so there is some noise until it closes.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked a table for us to have dinner down the road as they had finished serving food. No breakfast is served but we knew that. Tea and coffee in room. For. us it was that it was so close to Thurxton for an overnight after attneing the British Superbikes and didn't want to drive over 2 hours home.

We were in room 1 and my partner was disturbed by a machine hum which he said only stopped at 4:45 a.m. I don't know what it was but didnt disturb me. It's very close to the A303 so there is road noise, couldn't hear it in the room though.

The pub is situated in a lovely garden.The staff were really friendly and helpful. The locals were also very friendly. The pub food was to a good standard. House keeping is also to a high standard.

The pub is located immediately adjacent to a flyover for the A303 some noise through the night from lorries. There was also alot of noise from an airhandiling unit that didnt stop until around 2.00am.

We booked the place to attend an anniversary of a friend of ours and the staff couldn't have been friendlier! Superb communication and went out of their way to help us when we couldn't get a cab to be on time. One of the staff members actually drove us to the location we needed to be on the evening. The rooms are super clean and very warm and welcoming. Simply brilliant for the price. Thank you!

What's not to like about this place and its proximity to the racetrack. Its a stunning building and I'd stay again.

Room 3............tight that's fine but as it was so hot you sleep with the window open but of course it backs onto the road and my word that is relentless. Has to have a couple more beers ro get me off!
