Alpenhotel Fleurs de Zermatt

I enjoyed spending three nights at the hotel. Great accommodations. I liked the extra closet space what was available for our use. I did take advantage of going to the pool each day after hiking. Great breakfast!!

You may want to look at the name of the hotel. The hotel has posted "Fluers de Zermatt" at the main entrance. This is also how it is posted if you want a ride from the train station.

The room was a nice size, quiet and with an amazing view. We also had a Nespresso machine in our room. The wellness area and the breakfast were great. We had a glass of prosecco for ours birthdays at breakfast.

We had a coffee in our room, but the next day I had to clean my own cup, because it was still dirty from the previous day. The display of the bicycle in the fitness room wasn't turning on and the fitness area there was not a sink or a water tank to get some water or refill your own bottle. In the wellness area there was only water to drink, and not tea, juice or lemon/mint/cucumber water. We were looking to have a full relaxing weekend, but unfortunately there weren't any masseuses, so it would have been nice to be informed in advance to book a massage outside.

We got an upgrade for the best room in the hotel. The hotel exceeded my expectations . The breakfast has many options and is fresh and so delicious . The staff is super friendly. Especially the greek girl at the reception is so nice and helped me with a few things. The spa area is very cool. They even serve an afternoon tea at 5 pm which is a nice touch. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to have a relaxing time with family.

I didn’t like that on the check out day. We got a call from the receptionist 3 minutes past 11am that if we don’t leave in 10 minutes we will be charged extra. And we left in a hurry to not get charged extra. We arrived very late for the check in , around 11 pm and I think that was unfair .. Or at least they should have told us in advance that they need the room back at 11am . When we went to the checkout the guy didn’t even say goodbye. 😏 But other than that everything was perfect.

We were upgraded to a Matterhorn view which indeed had a spectacular view. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Large bathroom. Good breakfast selection. Free cake and coffee in the afternoon between 5-6 pm every day. Short walk to train station.

Breakfast choices could have been refreshed more often. Shower head continuously slid down pole while water was on. One side of entrance to hotel is gated and requires key for entry; upon arrival we buzzed reception multiple times and received no answer, not realizing other side is completely open, so not sure why gated entrance exists.

I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Zermatt. The room was clean and comfortable, not to mention plenty of space. The private bathrooms were just as clean (spotless) that came stocked with shampoo/conditioner and body wash, body lotion, plenty of towels and a bathrobe for use at the onsite pool and sauna. The facilities were perfect. After a long day hiking around the trails, the pool and sauna went such a long way to get your body back to normal for the next day. Their offer of coffee and cake in the evening was a neat idea and we absolutely enjoyed partaking before going to look for dinner. The breakfast was spot on every morning and was a welcomed addition to the room. Now, the view, the view no matter the room you get is absolutely stellar. Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful it is!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!

Room size was good

On asking for filling up drinking water in the bottle in our room, one of the staff members rudely told to bring the bottle downstairs at the reception even though he seemed free. The next day, the other staff member was nice and filled the water and left the bottle in the room. So we have mixed feelings here.

The room was spacious, and I liked the design even though I don't like typical "alpine chalet" interior design that is quite common in the alpine hotels as well. And the bathroom was also huge (it even had a bathtub and a separate shower), and there was a nightlight under the storage space under the sink - very convenient! The bed was extremely comfortable.

My room had a balcony, but it didn't have any privacy screens on the sides, so I could see other guests from my floor using their balconies as well, so I could not comfortably use my balcony because of it. The reception doesn't work after 11 PM, so I was a bit afraid to lose or demagnetize my key during a late evening walk around the village.

The hotel is beautiful, has a great location and a nice pool/sauna area. The room is a little small, but everything was new. Good that has breaksfast.

Most disappointing was the staff - always with a bad expression on their faces, they didn't seem very willing to help. Also, a little disorganized, as we were given wrong information about the transfer time on arrival. At check-out we also had a problem, and we had to wait a long time for the transfer (we were going to take the train we had already purchased) because the person we spoke with the night before to schedule the transfer simply did not do it.

Staff were very welcoming and even prepared a small present for us when we were leaving. They were happy to answer any questions regarding touristic activities in the area and gave many helpful recommendations. Room was cozy and clean with delicious coffee in the coffee machine. Bathroom facilities were amazing and towels super soft :) Internet of a good quality. Despite Corona, breakfast buffet was super diverse and delicious!!

Spa and swimming pool close very early and there is no opportunity to relax in a sauna in the evening... also, everything is charged, even a teabag we asked for at the reception. For such a high price service could be organized a bit better, though in general there were no problems and the staff at the reception were very helpful.

The rooms were very new and clean. The architecture and design made the hotel luxurious, comfy, quiet and functional. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was ideal and was a very quick and easy 2 minute walk from the Zermatt train station and about 5 minutes walk to the main city center. We had a room with a balcony that was advertised to have a view of the Matterhorn and it indeed had an unobstructed view of that peak (when the weather cooperated). The hotel delivered on all points. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
