City Hotel Biel Bienne Free Parking

We booked a three beds room and it was comfortable. The breakfast was basic but there was a bit of everything in order to satisfy continental and British beakfast. The location is in the middle of the town which is good and bad at the same time. Good because you can walk around but bad because we had to sleep with an open window and it is quite busy because our room was directly above the main street which was preety noisy.

There is no aircondition in the rooms so you have to have the windows open and the street is very noisy as a lot of cars and lorries are passing by even in the middle of the might. You need ear plugs or to be moderately deaf if you want to sleep well.

The location, a short walk from the train station was ideal. Check in with a pleasant member of staff was quick and easy. The breakfast had a wide range of items, although another coffee machine would help. The portable fan provided was a great help.

The curtains in the room were unusable, one of the main curtains was missing, and the net curtains only just managed to meet in the middle, this didn't help with trying to block out the sun when it was playing straight through the window in the afternoon / evening.

Easy to reach location from the main station. Very friendly staff. The room was well set up (albeit a bit dated - curtains could use an upgrade). Small but well-designed, modern, and super clean bathroom! Excellent Wifi and good breakfast. Everything you need for a short and pleasant stay!

Cleaning group began work rather early on a Sunday morning, with the hallway suddenly becoming very noisy. It is what it is; we all like our rooms clean but it felt a bit off, like almost on purpose making loud noises.

Breakfast was great, the hotel is positioned well and parking is free.

Late check-in. Even though we didn't read the message before arrival, the hotel is closed after 10pm. We didn't get an entry code, despite the staff seeing we didn't arrive on time and even though they prepared the cards and everything for us. If it weren't for a random good Samaritan entering the hotel, we would have slept on the street. This has to be changed because the stay otherwise was perfect.

The breakfast was very good, one of the best in Biel. The staff accommodated a late check-in. The room was very spacious.

There is no air conditioning in the room, and the small fan has a very short cable, so I could not place it in front of the open balcony door, or a tiny bit away from the bed. The room heated up quite considerably during the day (summer), even though I had the shades down. Check-out took a bit long, as there was no staff available.

Situated at walking distance from the lake side, the train station as well as the city centre. The 1 person room was fairly spacious. Small but very well organized bathroom with all the necessary items. My room was on the 5th floor with a nice view of the lake. There is a private free parking on the back of the hotel which felt very safe as I was traveling by motorbike. Nice to have breakfast included in the price. Coffee machine, juices, croissants, bread, jam, eggs and sausages. I think that was it.

Nothing as such. Unexpectedly, I found the floor of shower box very, very slippery. Not sure if it's the same for other rooms, but I would advise people with mobility problems to double check.

Comfortable and clean room. The hotel also had soy milk option for breakfast which is very rare in hotels, I find. I recommend.

The cleaning product in the toilet brush bowl was smelling so strong it gave me a headache (like a super strong man's fragance). I had to put it outside on the window seam and it took a long time for the room to not smell that strong anymore. But the room was very nice and clean so this is just a small note for the cleaning team that some guests might be bothered by such strong products. :)

Great breakfast, clean rooms, perfect location but still pretty quiet.

Room was pretty hot, and had pretty bad lighting.. there are pretty weird fees for "storing food in the room" (50chf), "producing excessive waste" (25chf), etc.. since it didn't apply to me i don't care too much.. but it's weird imho.

Smart location, very close to the station and the main street. The staff was friendly, my room was at the fifth floor and was way better than how I expected! Big bed, normal bathroom. Good heater system and a plus for the possibility to open the windows. Thanks to the water boiling machine inside the room I made myself an infuse before going to bed. The breakfast was great as well, with a big variety of entrees!

Breakfast was great with many options to choose from. Room was very clean and staff was more than nice and welcoming. We were given access to a power outlet in the parking to have the car charged so that was a most pleasant surprise. They also provided access to a lounge where I could work from, as I arrived earlier than my check-in time.

The bathroom door was missing, but as me and my wife know each other long time back this wasn't a major setback; it might be if you're sharing the room with someone more sensitive.
