Excellent location downtown Sundsvall with easy access to restaurants. Super friendly and service minded staff, nice clean and comfortable rooms and superior breakfast buffé. The hotel was super accomodating for dogs and their owners, even with a separate area by the entrance where you could bring along you dog for breakfast/dinner !

Nice location, room and breakfast
Bathroom was not clean... even bunch of hairs in Bathroom. No body lotion in bathroom. And even staff said they dont know where is extra lotion in hotel.... For some kids infront of us they give kids kit to play and not for our kids. Once we asked then they provide it....

However, the reason for the low ratings is entirely the fault of the waitress on the evening of my stay.Her attitude was appalling. I was greeted nicely by her male colleague but it went downhill from there. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was quiet. Eventually after being steadfastly ignored by both staff, I got my own menu. All the waiting times were unacceptable. Eventually my order was taken. Again the food took a long time to arrive. By this time, there were just five or six guests, so no discernible reason for my meal to take so long. When the food did come it was ok but not spectacular. The main problem was the tarragon mayonnaise. It was bland to the point of being a waste of calories. The female eventually took my drinks order. I wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail but she was apparently incapable of making one or asking the waiter how to make one. Not enough profit to be bothered I suspected. She was noticeably pleased when I ordered a regular gin and tonic. Sadly, she couldn't be bothered to make it and so I did not get one. Her attitude was so poor, that I decided not to mention it. Not once was I asked by the staff how my meal was and she was obscenely keen to get my payment and get rid of me. Many Swedes can be racist and so as a foreigner, albeit married to a Swedish man, I fell that I fell foul of this. Because of her appalling attitude to me, I will not stay at this hotel again.

Lovely, helpful staff and great breakfast. Nice common area by the reception. Good location.
We got a very shabby family room... Cold bathroom without working ventilation, the room itself was also cold, there was plaster chipping of the wall by the kids beds, main bed's frame was also broken and the beds were sliding apart. Very disappointing...
