Best Western Royal Star

We choose this hotel as it offer free parking. The hotel is well located with the train station only 300 mts away ( 3 stops or 15 min and you're in Stockholm). Clever which welcome us when we arrived to check it was extremely helpful (probably the best front desk manager we had in the last 4 weeks across scandinavia). He gave us great tips on what to visit and where to eat in Stockholm.

The breakfast was extremely chaotic (specially given Covid restrictions) the restaurant was pack every day. The kitchen personnel were overwhelm and they look as they really dont enjoy their work. People had to sit in the bar as there were not space in the restaurant (which is quite big).

HUGE room, HUGE comfortable bed, a lot of place to put stuff, best suitable for families with children. We even were offered a bed for child, but we've already had our own. Very nice smiling staff, really AWESOME breakfasts in a really stylish dining room, comfortably placed parking lot - we had a place right in front of the hotel's entrance. The hotel looks old, but you can see it's well maintained and cared about, everything looks good and not falling apart. You can feel the old classic prestige. ;) And for the current price it's a very good option for people that want to visit Stockholm, as it's next to the train station, 3 stations away from the city center.

Lack of power sockets in comfortable places, that's really the only thing.

train starion(commuter) only 4 min walk and then 8 min travel to central Station! peaceful neighborhood free parking in front of hotel spacy rooms spacy lobby with bar restaurant ,baby facilities etc very nice breakfast very kind personnel and specially the receptionists! many facilities in the room(hair dryer,iron, many sockets, coffee machine etc armrests..)

we had to ask in order to change towels and clean room (not serious) there was no central switch for the room lights but not really a problem

Great location ( Alvsjö train station is 2 minutes by foot-from there the Central Station is 3 stops away)comfy beds,big enough room for 4 plp. One supermarket is in walking distance. Great buffet breakfast-a lot to choose from ( they had plant based milk also) Overall good hotel-We would stay again here:)

No restaurants at all in the near.No closet for clothes,we had to dress from our suitcases the entire time.A bit short staffed for breakfast.

Our family enjoyed very much staying at this hotel. We had two adjacent spacious rooms with everything we needed. The location was very convenient for us - no parking problems, easy access to the main highways, and the city centre is only 10 minutes away by train. Great breakfasts, nice that the choice was slightly different each day. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise with the quality of food. A very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Stockholm.

We had two adjacent rooms which the hotel connect for our family so that we could enjoy a relatively big space. The rooms were clean and quiet. The hotel was located 5 minutes from a train station that you could take into the center of Stockholm in 10 minutes and had plenty of free parking space. Breakfast selection was good, although the atmosphere at breakfast felt a little rushed and crowded.

The part of town the hotel was in didn't look the nicest but to be fair, we didn't take time to look around the area.

We are three persons and have booked triple room. Yes, the hotel put three single bed in the room. But a little narrow bed -- yes, in the size tolerance they say on booking. Bathroom is clean and no smell. They provide private free parking lots for the clients. The breakfast is over my expectation, very rich, even salmon slices are available -- it is the best experience of our staying there.

Good breakfast, spacious family room, free parking, and good internet connection. Although the hotel is on the outskirts of Stockholm, it is located next to the railway station. In other words, an excellent location for visiting the city and its surroundings.

As we stayed in the family room for several days, we would have needed at least one change of towels during our stay. Sometimes the breakfast room ran out of glasses, spoons, etc without the staff noticing it.

Handy location for trains into the city. Building is pretty drab, ditto the reception but my bathroom had been recently renovated and had good modern fittings. Room was spacious. Overall a good option when city hotel prices are eye-wateringly high.

Ground floor could use a refurbishment. Breakfast was adequate but not refreshed often enough. Signage from station could be improved.

The hotel conveniently located within a short distance from the train stop. The reception staff member on duty was kind and helpful, giving detailed a explanation about how to get to the airport.

The directions on the hotel website indicated the wrong track numbers for the local trains which was completely misleading. The furnishings in the room need updating.
