Aiden by Best Western Cheongdam

The room was quite spacious compared to other options in the area at the same price range. Most of the receptionists were helpful. We got support calling taxi and getting information on airport transfer. The Housekeeping lady on our floor was fabulous. We stayed for 11 nights and her service had never been slipped - making the bed, filling in all supplies and keeping things tidy!

No a/c as they considered it was in cold season. All rooms still operated with centrally controlled A/C. During my stay, the weather condition had been rather fluctuated, too warm - too cold - showers, we were told to adjust the temperature using our window. The only one window was not convenient to control how wide we wanted it to open. Some nights were windy and the wind sound was loud so we had to close it during the night. The location was quite far from Metro station and the area was rather hilly. Also the bed and pillows were too soft. Complimentary bottled water was limited to two (500ml) bottles per day only. Each additional bottle can be requested with 1000 KRW charge.

Location is unbeatable. You can visit the Apgujeong area, Garosugil area & Gangnam area. They are within walking distance for those who likes walking. Or you can uber is not that expensive either. The only downside is the nearest train station is 15 mins walk if you want to visit other parts of Seoul. The place is quite clean. The price is affordable and surprisingly the windows are very soundproof. I would think being in the middle of a busy street it would be noises, but no. Overall, I am quite happy with this place for the price and location.

There are two staffs in the reception who are quite stiff and unfriendly. But not too big of a deal for us. Since we always go out anyway so we only met with them occasionally and interact very little.

The hotel staff is extremly kind, welcoming and helpful. :))) My whole stay was all above the expectation. 10/10. The room was clean, had a view for the bustling Seoul and even the Namsan Tower was visible from the window. From the hotel there is good access to public transport. Only couple of steps to bus stations with them easily reach Gangnam Station, Lotte Tower, metro lines or Apgujeong luxury rodeo. Convenient stores (7 eleven, G25) in 2 minutes distance by walk, also restaurants nearby (Chinese, Korean etc). I will definitely come back. ~~^^

Very good location, close to public transportation, close to the more busy areas of Gangnam. Room was nice and clean, the staff very friendly and accomodating. The pricing is very good when compared to other places in Seoul. I am booking there again for my next travel, because it is difficult to beat in terms of price, location, and comfort.

Room was small (as it is often the case in Korea) and I wish there had been some space to store the luggage or even a proper wardrobe. There were only a few hangers next to the door we could use. It is not so much a negative as a matter of being used to much bigger rooms in Europe and the US. For short term business travelers, it is probably perfect. For longer stays, one has to arrange oneself a bit.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, had a great view from the window of Seoul up to the Seoul Tower. There are a number of useful buses as the hotel is sat on a large crossroad interchange and there are plenty of taxis about. The room also had a Nespresso Machine which gave great coffees first thing.

The nearest subway stations (Apgujeong and Hakdong) were both a 10/15 minute walk to get to from the station. Apgujeong Rodeo Station was a 20 minute walk, so it is a bit of a walk if you are planning to explore by subway. There was a large video advert board outside of our room (to be expected as the area is Gangnam), but this turned off at 11pm and didn't impact our sleep.

Clean and functioning. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful. They accommodated most of my requests in a professional manner. Located some distance from the metro station but there's a bus stop right outside the hotel.

The room was rather small and was too crowded for two people. It's also, like others have commented, very noisy on the street-facing side. Cars were running on the main road throughout the night and at times you'd thought there were about a hundred ferraris racing each other. It takes a bit of a walk from the metro station but there's a bus stop right outside the hotel. Oh and the funky disco-esque shower lights just cheapen the whole place, in my opinion.

I loved my stay at Aiden. It was a last minute book because of a quick change in plans and the rate was really great when it comes to the area. It is a livelier area but still pretty safe. I loved The bed was comfortable, the room is sufficient with the space provided. Everything smells good. The pillows are so comfortable. The staff are nice and very patient with me. All in all, it was a great stay!

I don't know if it was another guest perfume but there was a VERY strong smell in the lobby that dissipated but didn't really go away. It smells really great but I wish it was dialed down 3 levels. Other than that, that's it.

This hotel is a tremendous value. It is far nicer than one would expect for this relatively reasonable and moderate price. Rooms are not large, but are well-designed and laid out, and comfortable. The location is great, and this hotel is a real bargain sitting dead center in a very expensive area of the city. Lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, stores, etc., all within easy walking distance. The hotel is bright, clean and seems to be either new or recently renovated.

Some of the desk staff were not particularly personable, friendly or helpful, though one gentleman was nice, and smiled. On the other hand, one cannot reasonably expect much service or support at this price, so it really didn't bother me.

The room was clean and comfortable. I needed to work for a couple of days and this hotel offer a good working desk space (with a nice view).

The room felt really cold (they run like a whole building cooler system), although the staff offered a portable heater that really helped! Also, they seemed to be fully booked and despite my request for a room away from street noise, it was not provided. The hotel is located in the main avenue (4 lanes), so some noise can be heard but not too extreme.

Very comfortable bed, separate sink, toilet, shower, and relatively spacious given the density of Seoul. Quiet room; could not hear neighbors or busy street. Relatively cheap but super clean and nice for the Gangnam/Apgujeong area!

The location was a bit out of the way to the nearest subway station; around a 15 minute walk. The bus station is just steps away though!
