We loved everything! stunning location directly over the bay and on the cliff path . Definitely worth getting a room at the front for the views, and the honeymoon suite and penthouse are beautifully appointed and in our opinion worth paying a bit extra for ! Easy and safe walk into town for great food and shopping. Very elegantly decorated in communal spaces, with several comfortable seating areas . Great choice for breakfast, all very fresh , and complimentary wine 5-7 each evening. Staff all very friendly and professional, advising us on restaurants and making bookings. it was our 30th anniversary and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a lovely surprise. Particular thanks to Dominique who looked after us so well, with her very personal service and extra touches .

What a lovely stay - we were here for a whole week and didn't want to leave. Everything about Hermanus Boutique Guesthouse exudes quality, peacefulness and charm. The breakfasts are lovely, served with appealing garnishes; the staff are delightful especially Marianne who manages with a calm, unflustered dignity. The location is ideal, so close to the fabulous cliff-top path and within easy walking distance of a great seletion of quality restaurants. This guesthouse fully deserves to be successful.

What a stunning guesthouse! We had 2 ground floor sea facing rooms and they were huge, each with their own beautiful little garden and sun loungers looking out over the most magnificent sea view. The location is just perfect - you can do long walks along the park, walk across the road to Ficks Pool for delicious cocktails and a light bite to eat or just relax and enjoy the guesthouse. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. A special thanks to Dominique and Marizanne for making my Mom-in-law’s 80th Birthday celebration so special - you are amazing! The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a long time and the service is outstanding. I feel like we hit the jackpot finding this Guesthouse and I hope to be back!

The location of the property is ideal, with wonderful sea views (if you book a sea facing unit). The staff were exceptional, and always willing to help where they could. Breakfasts were also very good and tailored to your preferences. The decor of the hotel and our room is elegant and tasteful.

Although well appointed and decorated, we expected the honeymoon suite to be larger considering the fairly high rate. On two occasions we had cold water, so it seems the geysers battle to maintain temperature at times.

Staff were excellent - continuously pleasant and helpful. The manager, Marianna, was particularly attentive. The breakfast was good. the room was large and had a nice bonus of an outdoor shower.

Property didn't seem to do a good job of showing the amazing view that is out front. Everything was tucked in the back of the property. Breakfast on the front area would have been a bonus.

This is a smaller boutique hotel, so has an intimate and friendly feel. Immaculate with high quality linens and best beds in Africa. Location is ideal with sea views and a comfortable and safe walk to town and local restaurants. Breakfast was a feast custom cooked to our likes. Octavia in breakfast room was very helpful.

This is my second visit and still there is nothing to fault. Parking is secure and that is a big thing for me.

A Fabulous place to stay in Hermanus. Our room was on the top floor with outstanding views from the balcony over the sea. The room itself has been beautifully decorated. Stunning bathroom, roll top bath.The hotel staff couldn't be more helpful. Dominique and Olivia were always on hand to help or see if they could make your stay more comfortable. Its a short walk to the Old Harbour where you'll find shops and restaurants. The other direction its a short walk to the New Harbour where you can get the boats for Whale watching. Unfortunately we only had 2 nights. We highly recommend staying here and will return soon.

Beautiful ocean view from our balcony window where we could watch whales from the comfort of our room! Room was large, comfortable, very clean and good facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic and very tasty food. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

We found the best thing about this hotel was the staff. All of them extremely friendly and helpful, particular call-out to Dominique who really went above and beyond. Breakfast fantastic. Bed comfortable, room clean. Wine, soft drinks and snacks offered in the afternoon is a very nice touch as is the constant supply of flavoured water (with herbs or fresh fruit) which we really appreciated. Location good under 10 mins walk to the centre of town. Pool area was a slight disappointment as its not very inviting, nor is the outdoor smoking area.

It felt more like a boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious beds were soft and perfect. The location to the beach and the views are unparalleled. You are also walking distance distance from town.

Their breakfast and overal food service is so sitting, I’d love to see what would happen if they offered lunch and dinner service
