Fernwood Manor Boutique Guest House

Wonderful guest house, stayed in the main villa, bedroom was huge, bathroom fantastic and a very large patio/balcony outside the French windows. So much cupboard and drawer space too. Breakfast was superb. Very attentive staff only too happy to make our stay memorable. Location was convenient, near the Botanical gardens and close to Constantia Mall. About 15 mins taxi from the Watefront area. We got there really early and no issue allowing us an early check in. Top notch and highly recommended. There is a pool too but we didn't have time to try it.

Perfect location in a quiet neigbourhood near Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. The rooms are very well and tastefully designed with views of the gardens around. The breakfast area is bright and nicely laid out with a superb selection of hot and cold dishes. There is an indoor lounge with an honesty bar which leaves nothing to be desired. The pool looks gorgeous too with a generous area around it to enjoy a leasurly afternoon. We were there in winter and the rooms warmed up very quickly with a good and quiet A/C. Can't wait to go back.

The room I resided in was phenomenal! Loved it and will certainly book that room again.

The glasses in the bathroom still had pink lipstick on from the previous guest? Both - the pink lipstick was also on the covers of the glasses. The glasses in the kitchenette had a funny smell. And I decided not to use them any longer as it gave off a funny taste to my drink. This was the only thing that bothered me a little.

This is the perfect retreat, quiet, beautiful and very clean. We spent 5 days here and did not want leave. Personnel is super friendly and quiet, the salt water pool refreshing and exquisit, not too cold. The garden is gorgeous and beautiful. Fabulous breakfast. We will come back and strong recommend this very unique paradise! If you love to hike, the Constantia Neck is only 10 minutes away.

A very safe location, a leafy suburb of Cape Town and a little oasis to spend a few hours at or come back to each day. We had 5 days here but should have stayed longer to enjoy everything Fernwood had to offer.

There is nothing to dislike about this place. We felt at home immediately, the staff were all very professional, friendly and helpful. It would have been the icing on the cake to have been able to have the odd simple evening meal but there were lots of restaurants nearby to choose from

Super friendly staff and landlady. Car-Hiring was organised within one hour. Available Parking Space. Although we arrived in the morning, hours before regular check-in-time after a very long flight, our room was magically prepared and ready within a short time, while we were offered coffee and snacks. Compared to other accommodations in Capetown which might be more upscale and expensive, Fernwood Manor beats them all!

The breakfast was excellent and the staff always very kind and helpful. The location was perfect, quiet and secure, with beautiful views of the mountain…. also very central in Newlands, having easy access to both sides of the peninsula.

There was very little to dislike, apart from problems that were external to the property. We had several hours of load shedding each day, at peak times morning and evening… and, although there was no electricity in the area at these times, the hotel did provide WiFi access and some lighting.

Ahh God 🙌🥹❤️The warm welcome from Emmanuela and Nathan was so heart warming 😍🥹🔐 They are so loving and respecting. We felt at home The following day they were joined by Aaron who also gave us the same level of respect and love… The stuff is so amazing I don’t wanna lie…. May the good Lord bless y’all and protect to you all the time

A day before our last day we asked from Emmanuela and Nathan to stay till late since our bus was gonna leave late the following day so the next day we were gonna checkout at 11, we thought we are gonna be served breakfast in the morning but when we got there things were so awkward and our table was not prepared. In future please try and inform your guests if they are allowed to eat on the last day or not, not to act so strange with that gran who kept looking at us badly👵 because we immediately lost our appetite because we would’ve ordered something to eat for ourselves but other than that your hospitality was good 😊

Leafy location, decent parking, helpful staff, comfy bed, nice pool. Decent sized rooms. I arrived early and they were helpful and put my bags in the room while I went off to a lunch. Nice place.

Some things felt a little dated, but I guess the nature of an old restored home leads to that. No complaints though. Missed out on the hot breakfast as I had to leave early, but the cold breakfast was ample and the croissants fresh & warm.

Our host and all the staff were brilliant. Everyone seem to enjoy working at Fernwood Manor.I have no hesitation in recommending the guest house .

The staff the cleanliness and the comfort and of course the lovely breakfast every morning. The swimming pool is great and loungers a very comfortable . Also it's so quiet.
