Cape Town Lodge Hotel

Check-in staff when we arrived were superb, friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a terrific variety of foods, hot and cold. The room was spacious and comfortable. Cleaning staff lovely and friendly.

The check-out staff were terrible. We were treated as though we were not standing right there in front of them at reception. No greeting, just took my room keycard off the counter where I put it. No asking if we enjoyed our stay. No thank you. Nothing. No interaction with us. One of the two male staff members was on his cellphones social media messages, directly in front of me. No professionalism and definitely not hospitality standard. It was the complete opposite to our check-in experience, but it has a lasting negative effect.

The breakfast was really good. There is a restaurant operating in the hotel, which has fantastic foods. The staff was kind.

There was no showerhead and bidet in the bathroom. The hair dryer was hard to find in the living room, plugged into a desk drawer. The check-in process was difficult, we waited an hour to get the rooms. Every morning at dawn we woke up to the singing of a mosque, which was very disturbing. The remote control didn't work.

Firstly we have stayed in the past & Liked the location as it’s central & safe Also I give credit too the people who work hard has a team too satisfy are need’s appropriate

Smoking location I think if there was a facility Safe too sit & relax and smoke outdoors Would bring a few more punters

The hospitality of the staff was excellent

What I did not like, the TV remote was not working, for me to change channels. I couldn't watch things I wished to watch unless I got out of bed. Secondly the pillows were too hard for my liking.

I have stayed at this hotel many times within the past 20 years, even when the name was different. I really like the location. The street is safe compared with other streets in Cape Town. The room is spacious and clean. The cleaning ladies do a great job and they always have a smiling face. The WiFi works fine.

The rooms need renovation because not much has changed throughout the years. The AC makes too much noise. There is a construction right across the street and they start working at very early hours so the noise is unbearable sometimes. The room cards become inactivated almost daily so you have to rush down to the reception to make them work again. I was not informed about the deposit payment I had to make during check-in so it was a surprise. Some of the staff at the reception are not friendly or maybe they are just too busy that they don’t have any energy left for guests.

My room was the best and i like that they are not closer to one another which give sense of privacy.Reception #MR WISEMAN from the reception warm welcome and explanation was professional.Philani i like how he stands at the reception waiting to assist all the guests who comes in and goes out. The should be time allocation on when do housekeeping tem come to clean,we were not happy when the housekeeping lady knock and we were still relaxing. Am kindly requesting that the lodge train,waitress not too be too much talkative sometimes its intimidating,as you are busy eating and asking so manyquestions.

the location was very convenient. close the table mountain and easy access to kemps bay and the mall. walk to restaurant. it’s downtown. perfect

the management where not accommodating with room request. I was there 11-12day. I extended twice and was promised to move to a room l want to have a better view by the front desk. the said it would okay to move. I packed my staff and was the managers came and gave me a worse view room. then l was told it that or stay in my room. very infuriating. no apology from the the lady or the gentleman managers for that inconvenience

The room was always clean when I came back from the tour. The WiFi was strong

I didn't like the girl with a weave and glasses on the day I checked out. She made me feel like I wasn't valued anymore because I was leaving. She's rude and disrespectful

BREAKFAST IS GOOD BECAUSE IS THE BUFFET, YOU EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.
