INATEL Graciosa

The staff at the Inatel were very professional. Offering suggestions on where to eat and how to best get around. As we did not speak Portuguese, everyone spoke English and assisted us with the many questions we had. We were told of a taxi who would take us on a tour, as we wanted to experience and see the island of Graciosa. What spectacular views and the driver Sonia was so knowledgeable about the many sights and sounds we heard. Our room was spotless, and although there were four of us, they enough linens and pillows for us to sleep on. The Breakfast was more than adequate, in fact it was our favourite. The variety of fruits, cereals, juices and not to mention the coffee. Wow! we had so much to choose from. The cheese and bread was exactly how it was previously described to us. I must also mention that the two waitresses performed their duties with pride and most important a smile. As we had travelled from Bermuda, they like others were curious as to which country we came from. How pleasant the ladies were and very kind. I will admit, that our children enjoyed the pool, and us as adults, loved the views, animals and the broad walk. Inatel management had taken great lengths to see that our stay was enjoyable and without incident. Thank you ! and well done Inatel, I will be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. The only thing I saw that could have been better, that we had stayed in Graciosa and Inatel longer. Our visit was short, but memorable. In 2024 we are planning to return for a longer visit, and enjoy the many amenities that Inatel has to offer. Well Done!

Perfect location, calm and spacious, meets all your needs. Close to the center and various natural swimming pools: the walk into town is charming and takes about 15 minutes. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. We didn’t try the pool but the area was spacious and seemed comfortable.

The only downside was outside of the purview of hotel staff: every morning, the balcony was littered with bird poop, who seem to nest nearby. It was cleaned thoroughly every day, but it was awkward to use in the morning without tracking the stuff inside. This was a minor gripe at best.

Decent hotel on the island with a rather large room capacity. Clean rooms. Nice location close to the beach with a lot of parking space. Good breakfast.

Pool water didnt seem that fresh (suspended solids). Rooms are a bit old. Price performance overall not that good even for a small island.

The place is clean, the rooms comfortable, the AC works well, the staff are superb, pool and surroundings are very nice and the general feel is good. I will certainly return.

It is without a doubt the best place to stay on the island. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the breakfast. The bread, cheeses and the other stuff was very good. The scrambled eggs, however, were always cold and there was only bacon for one of the six days. This however is all very minor compared to everything else. I would also avoid the restaurant for dinner.

Almost Everything. Very good value and kind staff. Super clean. Great pool. Good interest everywhere. The room was more than enough for a family with a baby and a toddler.

Breakfast needs to improve the coffee and should have more options such as vegetables ( tomatoes, cucumbers, paprika). Very kind staff at the breakfast! We should be able to seat outside but due to lack of staff, those tables are “reserved “. Get a microwave owen to have near the reception for families with small children so we don’t have to disturb the reception by night.

The staff speaks English, which is unique on the island (truly) - even if only at the reception (breakfast is a challenge). The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant food is delicious!

The facilities are old and need redoing from rusty drains to the carpet floor...the person serving breakfast does not know the word “jam” or “Marmelade” (seriously?!), the price is too high for what it is, and they still act as if this were a luxury place: it no longer is.

Great location with beautiful views of the ocean and easy walk to downtown Santa Cruz.

Property needs some renovating such as new mattresses, pillows, general maintenance, etc.

Breakfast was wonderful with an assortment of fruits, breads, and protein items.

Nothing to add, nice hotel in a great location in beautiful island.

Although it’s a modern building it blends well with its surroundings. And it’s only a good walk away from precious Sta Cruz da Graciosa. A urban pearl that deserves to be experienced. Also extremely nice staff.
