HF Ipanema Porto

Very friendly staff and super helpful. The breakfast was very good, really good variety of hot and cold food. The bedroom was clean and the beds very comfortable. The bar has a very chilled environment and a good selection of drinks.

If you want a double bed make sure you don’t pick the ‘twin or double bed’ option, because it’s likely that in high season you end up in twin beds (which you can put together). The parking is also limited (but the staff are very helpful in case the car park is full when you arrive). The location is good but if you’re walking with kids you might want to stay a bit closer to the city centre.

Efficient business hotel with great breakfast buffet. Very comfy beds & aircon, good hot water & shower pressure. Our family suite was perfect for our family of 4. Prompt staff in the curt Porto way. Many restos with lunch specials nearby. Stashed our rental car in onsite parking (€12/day) and Ubered to all the sights: Ribeiro, Gaia, Lello, and snazzy Norteshopping (Fogo de Chao AYCE rodizio!). We'd stay here again, or any of the HF hotels in Porto.

Nothing, everything was great. Note there is no art or deco in the rooms (business hotel), in a commercial area (not touristy) and the desks showed signs of wear, which didn't bother us at all.

All that can be expected of a 4 star hotel. Good reception, good breakfast, nice room and bathroom etc. Shopping centre at 6 minutes walk with wide variety of shops and supermarket. Easy to reach by car to be dropped off and picked up.

The outside of the windows should be cleaned. Could not enjoy the view over the city. I was on the 4th floor and when trying to go down with the elevator it was often full. Taking the stairs was possible but not very clear how to reach the lobby. You had to pass staff area. You have to like to walk uphill to reach the hotel from the river.

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. Although we were not in the centre of the tourist district, we were in walking distance.

The airconditiong didn't cool. It was winter but warm and very humid for the time of year, and the airconditiong only pumped out hot air even on the cool setting. We had to open the windows but couldn't sleep with the windows open due to the traffic noise. The room cleaning started way too early. We came back from breakfast the first morning to find our door open and room bring stripped. We had not left the "clean my room" sign on our door nor put our valuables away. We've not known a hotel that starts room cleaning so early in the morning.

We got to the hotel and we where put in a room with 2 bedrooms without having to ask. The kids room had 2 small bed which worked out great for them to get to sleep without having to fight over bed space. The beds where comfortable and everything was very clean. THE BREAKFAST was great would stay here again.

Check in was a bit difficult due to credit card not being able to read our card . There was an employee who was great and she stepped in and fix the issue. Still a great hotel to stay.

Everything was very clean and accessible, spacious room with extra big and comfortable bed, very comfortable bathroom, very good price quality ratio. Personal was also very friendly and helpful.

Payment method was through secure link several days before the stay, even within the period of free cancellation. I preferred a different payment methods because those links are often used for scamming. No answer came, no alternative possible. Pay or my reservation would be cancelled (of course without reimbursement). Room windows can't be opened. Location was convenient but far out from the centre.

Nice big room with a very big bed. AC and Wifi worked great. Bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was great.

The Hotel advertises parking but the parking space is very limited and at first the staff wouldnt let us in. After we complained we did receive a parking spot but were "scolded" for complaining. Not very nice to treat your guests this way. Also parking was charged extra and it was not cheap.

Good hotel in Boavista neighborhood. Not the cheapest hotel but worth the money. Reasonable close to the Metro, Bus stations (5-10 minutes) and to the Old Center of Porto (15-20 minutes), Good breakfast, great variety between days. Good beer at the bar. The room was clean and spacious.

Everything was OK for a four star hotel

Staff on reception were extremely helpful and very cheerful. Breakfast was more than adequate, room very clean and ample room, bed very comfortable. Bathroom very clean

Hotel was really good value, quite a way out from the city centre. A pleasant walk but only if you enjoy walking, all downhill going obviously uphill walk back but that is no reflection on the hotel

Big clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly, polite and helpful staff.

Just a few (compared with the number of rooms) and very narrow parking places. You had to be very lucky in order to find a free place. Fortunately, you can find paid parking places at the streets around costing 1,20€/h (max 2h). During the night it was for free. I was paying 2,40€, in advance, the night before, so I could park until 11am next morning.
