Altis Prime Hotel

The beds are some of the most comfortable we have ever slept on! We were unexpectedly upgraded to their penthouse suite, which is nothing short of gorgeous. Super spacious, fantastic views. he whole hotel has great style without being over the top. Most of all though, we loved the receptionist who was very helpful and handled every request with a smile. The location is very, very central as well. The Altis Prime is in the same block as the Altis Grand Hotel and you can use their indoor pool as well, which we didn't end up using as the rooftop jacuzzi of the Altis Prime was enough for us.

Nothing. It was perfect.

This is basically a set of apartments with a reception desk and small cafe area. The apartment I had was good for a business trip. The hotel was generally clean, and my room was bright with lots of windows.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable -- very, very hard. I would also say that the neighborhood was fine, but really away from the nicer parts of Lisbon. We walked around the area quite a bit, but there really wasn't anything of note nearby the hotel.

The location is very convenient! Not in the historical centre but pretty close, near the metro and several bus lines, in a calmish street but close to the main Avenue of Liberty, and there is a natural history museum and a tropical botanical garden about 10-minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was great, although not very large, but there was enough variety of choice for everyone. There is a small supermarket nearby so we could cook our dinner in the apartment every evening - the kitchen was well equiped.

We expected the large apartment to be more children-friendly, as it is promoted as a family accommodation, but we spent most of the days outside so it didn't really matter.

The location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic. It was a very short work to Avenida Liberdade, and Marques de Pombal metro station. We managed to navigate the city very easily with trams, metros, sightseeing buses and by walking with a nearly 2 year old in tow with this hotel as a base. There were plenty of excellent restaurants within a stones throw and there was also a very cheap corner shop right on the end of the street. As our hotel room had a small kitchen, this came in very handy for breakfasts and often for tea for our 1 year old as he couldn’t wait until most restaurants opened at half 7. The cot bed provided was great too as it was a proper wooden cot bed with a mattress, not just a pop up travel cot you get in most hotels. The reception staff were superb and the room itself was so spacious and roomy that it really felt like you were coming home at the end of each day. The room had plenty of storage too (3 double wardrobes and 2 sets of wide drawers!). The lounge cafe bar downstairs does a great cocktail and they will bring it up to your room for you too if requested. We used the pool in the hotel next door as advertised and this was a great experience too!

Honestly, nothing!

The location is very good for walking access to the centre of Lisbon. A car is not required, there are hubs to public transport within 10 minutes walking distance. The staff are truly fantastic, they helped us out with the room selection and responded very promptly to any requests, for example a blown lightbulb was replaced within 5 minutes of asking. All of the staff were very polite, professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The gym, Spa and pool facilities are also very good. Staff also very helpful in the fitness centre.

Very Friendly welcome and swift response to any request. They called and checked we were happy after our first night. Good sized suite with everything we needed. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable. Convenient for public transport (except that main Azul line was closed for engineering works over Easter weekend)

Bath was very difficult to get in and out of, the controls were impossible to turn on without getting into the bath. Bathrobes too small - designed for petite Portuguese not large Brits!! Lighting system very technical and we understand it is being changed as even staff struggled to make it work. Too much hi tech....

Spacious 2-room Apartment/Room with pleasant aspect to trees on street. Room was nice and modern feeling with good lighting, and we really appreciated kitchenette for extended stay. Staff were nice and cleaning (we only requested twice in 8 days) was efficient and thorough. Location is good for those who know Lisbon and want to be a bit away from over touristed areas, but easy walk to Principe Real, Barrio Alto, and the Baixa.

We needed up staying 8 days and Staff was always a bit confused about our 2 reservations and keys often deactivated our last 5 days. Cobbled street is a bit loud if you have windows open, so request a high floor. Pillows were great, but bed was a bit firm for our taste, and we like firm beds. TV needs updating in size and Smart TV choices for extended stay. Top cabinets of kitchenette are ridiculously low as others have mentioned, so a bit of yoga to access sink or cook on stovetop/

Loved the room! It was spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. It even had exactly the same Nespresso coffee machine as I have at home. Particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the Lounge Cafe - good quality food and very delicious, especially the eggs. The staff were great and always very helpful and kind. The hotel is located in a lovely area that feels safe for two women to walk around in. Couldn't ask for better really. It was a great place to stay for our short break and I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was in a great location. Taxis from this hotel were cheap and close enough to get to the timeout market, cais do sodres, barrio alto, principe real. Its a quiet area so great place to go to relax after a long day of sight seeing. We were lucky with 18/19 degrees on a few days and 16/15 on others so we could easily walk to certain locations from where we were. When we checked into our room the fridge wasnt working. The staff were kind enough to move is to another room fairly quickly. The room size was generous enough for the three of us. It is a super hilly city so bring comfy non-slip shoes/trainers.

The room was a little dusty the day we checked in most likely as they hadnt prepared that room. But they were cleaned each day. Online it said the spa was included and the email confirmation advised of this too. However on arrival we were advised it would be 20 euros each per day of use. Which is fine but I wish were told the correct info from the beginning. The main bed was a bit hard. Perfect for me but not great for my friends.

it was comfortable, clean and service was great especially reception staff, they went beyond duty to make things good for you and solve any issues you may have.

the lack of information in the room about how to use appliances. We had to phone reception a few times to sort lighting, which they did, but we could have sorted if there was instructions about dimmers etc, same with TV, we thought it wasn’t working till we were told by tech guy that we had to have unsightly wires hanging were necessary as sensor for remote had to be showing. All was sorted after a couple of days. Also the sun deck is a little tired.
